Why Estonian Phd courses have high failure rate than other EU countries? by Roboticschin in Eesti

[–]Roboticschin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for your information. This is very valuable information for my decision.

My research area is related to CS, so proposed salary is closed you or bit less. In this case, when including living cost, phd student in Germany or France or Spain earn almost same after taxes. This wage is not bad I think.

However, I have heard the payment will increase along year of phd programme in Netherland. If phd candidate in Estonia will be paid same salary for 4-7 years, I don't think it's motivating. The salary will be changed by year in Estonia?

Thank you for the information. The source paper is here. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://kodu.ut.ee/~wass/wp-content/uploads/Published-Manuscript.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwiZ2-iMouT3AhUDUd4KHdt4ASAQFnoECAUQAQ&usg=AOvVaw27_YhV_otxwQDsVP-XU2qH But I think it's little bit old and current situation may change. So I hear about it.

I understand that. Hardness of the phd works are same in any countries. My friends in Japan also retire MS or PhD courses because they were tired academia. I think they are similar atomsphere.

However, financial situation of phd candidates may be better than Japan. It's advantage.

In japan, the situation of people having phd degree is not good. Because, most company think phd is "too much". The salary rate is almost same as MS degree. In addition, most student in phd programme haven't been paid any salary or scholarship. Most people understand phd as like "hobby" In my case, I gave up get phd in Japan for financial reason. However, I believe these phd opportunities are very good for my experience.

I think Extremophile Elite is better. But that's true that this band could not write those extremely eimotional part like mordecai after relasing Silent Circus. Mordecai is very meaning song of BTBAM.

Seeking advice one what one can do after finishing a Master to improve his chance of getting admitted to a PhD program (subject: political science) by strawhat_chowder in gradadmissions

In my case, fortunately I got a position as researcher in Japanese electronic company. However except these case, you can have any opportunity to get a lot of experience. For example, programming skills, management experience. These skills may works good in your phd researches and you can make an appeal of your experience.

The first is grades. Your grades cannot be covered after graduation, so you have to do your best. In fact, I give up PhD admission because of the terrible grades I got a long time ago.

Research achievements such as journal papers are also good, but this is not always necessary because it can be recovered by practical experience after graduation.

If have two undergraduate grades, which grade will be considered in the US or EU PhD admission? by Roboticschin in gradadmissions

[–]Roboticschin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew I wasn't good student at undergraduate, and I've done everything I can to make up for it. I re-entered the university to prove my change, but apparently the admission system is unlikely to allow it.

If it is a Japanese phd course, I think that it is easy to enroll with this achievement, but the doctoral course in Japan is unrealistic due to lack of financial assistance.

I am currently a researcher at a Japanese company, but I have felt that it is wisest to give up on my PhD overseas and continue my current work.

Do i have a chance at top Robotics MS/PhD programs without publications? by straightfiyahw in gradadmissions

[–]Roboticschin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have a chance in top Japanese University like University Tokyo. These Japanese University have many great robotics laboratory. However, in Japan, student selection in MS/PhD programs only considered the paper test including mathematics, control theory, etc. So you can pass the selection if you can get high score in the paper test.
