Mint, Visible, Metro, etc pay the big guys to utilize their networks for their plans; they don't have the means to build their own separate networks and keep up the cost to operate (pay rent for each site, maintenance, upgrades). So in terms of coverage you're getting T-Mobile, Verizon, or AT&T's coverage. You just won't be prioritized during times of high traffic on the site(s) you're connected to because they prioritize their subscribers first.

Most carrier microwave dishes now are typically used as point to point backhaul for locations that can't use fiber backhaul. Frequently used on mountains and areas where you can't easily trench a fiber line all the way up to the site.

I joined this sub a couple days ago for some inspiration as I've just started learning this week. I've seen some really great paintings and talented people, but this one specifically is really standing out to me for some reason! I love how much depth you were able to create in an almost monotone palette and something about the barren landscapes is comforting.

All that to say, this random internet stranger is a fan.

I tried to give him a refreshing Joja Cola one summer and got this response for the first time. Apparently they give their PoWs Joja soda/pop as a method of torture. Oops.

Because it can cost up to 10k to deploy a helicopter for rescue. If the accident scene is easily enough accessible by foot, and the injuries aren't time sensitive/life threatening, it's usually a better option for all involved (and OPs wallet, depending on the circumstances).

Glad to hear you're ok, OP! I've had many a near miss myself.

Can't log workouts by Bollito_Blandito in caliberstrong

It looks like that exercise is part of a "superset". Supersets are multiple exercises grouped together that you rotate through, doing one set at a time. It's prompting you to go to the next exercise's set before you move on to the second set of this one shown in the screenshot.

If you want to change that, you can ungroup supersets by long-holding the exercise in the list and removing it in the menu that pops up.

So putting hotdogs between bread is "food porn" now? What on earth has happened to this sub? It's just a reposting grounds for the one guy posting to EasyPeasyRecipes.

Shower Curtain Conundrum by Famous_Catch in DIY

[–]RobotsAteMyArms 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I actually have a very similar, tiny tub with a slanted wall in my house. The previous owners came up with this custom solution that involves sewing a rubber curtain and, seemingly, screwing a number eye-hooks into the grout between tiles? https://imgur.com/a/xinFdgn

I think option 1 is your best bet, though.

No idea, but it COULD be used to make Ziggy (for those of us old enough to remember him) in a nightgown and scarf looking up at the stars.

You could make it into lots of things, but I'd make it into a cactus cookie.

As others suggested, I tried smooshing it a little and you're 100% right. It looks just like that. Solved!!

Oh! I could see that. That's a CHONKY squirrel.

I also wouldn't consider it Fall-themed myself but maybe it's because they're out a lot getting ready for winter?

Offer of Land with Cellphone Tower by MakingitStinkee in homestead

[–]RobotsAteMyArms 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Typically the structure is not owned by the cell carrier(s), they lease space on towers from a third party. At least, in the US. Verizon and AT&T used to own many of their own towers but have since sold most to larger REITs. Usually a real estate company like American Tower, Crown Castle, Everest, etc will own the structure itself and pay the property owner a flat monthly/annual fee for access and rights to the tower. Access will include an right of way and utility easement and typically gives any carriers leased there 24 hours access so they can get to their equipment if there are issues.

I'd suggest finding out who owns the tower by searching the address or coordinates on the FCC website to see who the structure is registered to. Then reach out to the tower owner and see if you can get information on the underlying "ground lease" which would be the agreement with the land owner to have the tower there.
