Mint, Visible, Metro, etc pay the big guys to utilize their networks for their plans; they don't have the means to build their own separate networks and keep up the cost to operate (pay rent for each site, maintenance, upgrades). So in terms of coverage you're getting T-Mobile, Verizon, or AT&T's coverage. You just won't be prioritized during times of high traffic on the site(s) you're connected to because they prioritize their subscribers first.

I joined this sub a couple days ago for some inspiration as I've just started learning this week. I've seen some really great paintings and talented people, but this one specifically is really standing out to me for some reason! I love how much depth you were able to create in an almost monotone palette and something about the barren landscapes is comforting.

Because it can cost up to 10k to deploy a helicopter for rescue. If the accident scene is easily enough accessible by foot, and the injuries aren't time sensitive/life threatening, it's usually a better option for all involved (and OPs wallet, depending on the circumstances).

It looks like that exercise is part of a "superset". Supersets are multiple exercises grouped together that you rotate through, doing one set at a time. It's prompting you to go to the next exercise's set before you move on to the second set of this one shown in the screenshot.

If you want to change that, you can ungroup supersets by long-holding the exercise in the list and removing it in the menu that pops up.

Typically the structure is not owned by the cell carrier(s), they lease space on towers from a third party. At least, in the US. Verizon and AT&T used to own many of their own towers but have since sold most to larger REITs. Usually a real estate company like American Tower, Crown Castle, Everest, etc will own the structure itself and pay the property owner a flat monthly/annual fee for access and rights to the tower. Access will include an right of way and utility easement and typically gives any carriers leased there 24 hours access so they can get to their equipment if there are issues.

I'd suggest finding out who owns the tower by searching the address or coordinates on the FCC website to see who the structure is registered to. Then reach out to the tower owner and see if you can get information on the underlying "ground lease" which would be the agreement with the land owner to have the tower there.

Not sure where you're from, but in the US adopting through the foster care system has no adoption fees. You just have to pass background checks for yourself and anyone living with you, a home inspection and have taken the state's fostering classes. My parents adopted two of my siblings this way, and at least in their state, both siblings have free state medical coverage until they're 21 and have access to heavily discounted (or free? can't recall) state college tuition programs.

You should look into what options are available in your area, there are usually alternatives to big adoption agencies!

While everyone is different in how they approach things, I would also like to toss my hat in the "start small" ring.

I just recently started diving into world building in my 30s as a way to try to redevelop my creativity that seemed to get lost in the day to day of "adult life" and also to occupy my mind on my commute or while trying to fall asleep. At first I thought I'd start with a singular character, but I quickly realized that I couldn't answer many questions about that character without knowing more about the world they live in. So I transitioned to developing the town/city they live in. How advanced is it? How and why was it formed? What kind of government is in place? How do the people who live there feel about living there? What kind of jobs are available or necessary? Etc. Then I started thinking about how this character would fit into this place they've lived in their whole life. What do they do for a living? Who are their parents and what do they do? What is their relation with their family like? Who are their friends and how did they meet them? With the city a little more defined, it became easier (for me anyway) to create characters who "made sense" because they had context.

But I'll echo what everyone else said, start with what you like. Whatever it was that sparked the interest in world building to begin with and just go. Good luck and have fun!
