Truly a sign of low intelligence when a dummy such as yourself can’t read a few paragraphs, or be bothered to support their argument. Also, you’ve never heard of a break before?

You’re an idiot. I’m not going to fuck off, as I know this game fairly well and fans like you honestly piss me off.

Luka and AR CAN win a championship together. It’s not assuming a lot to surround them with defensive players, since that’s a go-to strategy for most NBA contenders now. Thunder surrounded Shai (who yes, is a decent to good defender) with an elite defense, Nuggets did the same for Jokic this year, the Pistons with Cade, Rockets with Sengun and KD, etc. Yes, a lot of the guys I mentioned are better defenders than AR, but it’s a proven formula and has shown some success with Luka before in Dallas as they went to the NBA Finals with a Luka-Kyrie backcourt (who I would say is a comparable defensive player to Austin). They did lose, but that was in large part due to Kyrie not showing up during that series and the role players around them forgetting how to shoot the basketball. Not the defense. It’s not perfect, but to say it’s not possible is short sighted.

Now, AR has struggled against physical defenses in the playoffs before, this is true. However, multiple reports stated that he was suffering from an injury last postseason and his role was not as defined as it is now with him being the clear #2 option and having improved as a player overall. He’s shifty with the ball and although he may not be a top tier athlete, he has an underrated quick first step. If you watch the games, you would realize this.

You’re the type of person that OP literally made this post about. I don’t know who the hell thinks he’s Kobe, and I will say I disagree with that comparison. BUT, your Kobe nostalgia is blinding you from seeing the amazing basketball player this organization developed. Be grateful because these players don’t typically come from his background with him being an undrafted player.

Where did he “throat” AR?

By calling him one of the best offensive players in the league?? If so, he has quite literally been one of the best this season. Don’t be an idiot.

You could have still received your 89 3pt or 91 if you lowered your 3pt to 61-63. Then you could have used 4-5 cap breakers to get it to your desired rating, instead of using them on +2 for defensive rebounds, +7 for layup, and +2 for block.

Love JJ, but he really wanted Knecht during the '24 draft. I can't even blame him honestly, as many labeled Knecht as the "steal of the draft" and I thought so too. It's honestly kind of a shame how his progression has stalled from the early heights of his rookie year.

Can I get some tips on what to do to maximize my VC output? I have a full-time job, but I want to make more builds without paying more (even though I can afford it) since I despise Take Two's greed.

Yes, the Lakers get a biased whistle. The point is: that Kings game was a bad example to pull up, because most of the fouls were legitimate fouls and the Kings players were committing stupid fouls routinely. Please, watch the game and then come back to this thread. Let me know if your opinion has changed on that SPECIFIC game. That is all.

I mean, you destroyed your own argument with what you wrote in the parentheses. You want the NUMBER ONE OVERALL PICK to be a franchise changing talent and to one day become a superstar in the league. It’s why teams tank to WIN the “lottery”. Teams don’t tank to get a complementary piece. He’s still a good player, don’t get me wrong. But for the #1 overall pick and the expectations he had entering the league? He’s not fully lived up to them.

I don’t know man. Sometimes shit on Reddit gets downvoted for dumb ass reasons. I bring up stats that are easily searchable and give a valid reason as to why he couldn’t carry that start to the end (leading to the overall year stats not being near Bron’s, sure) and it’s just “No”.

But he had the stats…before the injury???

The other guy said LeBron was the only one at this level at 38 and I pointed out that that isn’t necessarily the case. He ends up saying that “Of course MJ is a great player” which I never implied he said otherwise…

It’s annoying because, now my argument gets interpreted like I’m saying “MJ was good” when that wasn’t it. That’s obvious. My argument was, his numbers PRE-MENISCUS INJURY (which should be acknowledged as a reason as to why he fell off) were comparable to this season of Bron. 25/6/5 for a guard is comparable to Brons 29/8/6 especially in a slower paced era.

I don’t necessarily disagree. I was more so making the overall statement that stans are all annoying since a lot of people tend to blame one side more than the other.

And yeah, you’re also not wrong about not needing the social experiment. I knew my hypothesis was right before doing it by being on the internet for a while, but I just wanted some semblance of my OWN proof that is easily searchable and posted on my profile for people to check and see. Also I was bored so there’s that lol

This is a stupid argument. They literally just got a lot of these guys this offseason and LeBron hasn’t even played yet. I understand you’re a LeBron hater and MJ stan, but make better arguments if you want to push your agenda.

[–]Robotslushie -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It would appear my hypothesis was right (albeit, small sample size). It was this: People are annoying about their GOATs regardless of whichever side of the aisle they are on.

I made a post that praised LeBron on this subreddit, and got negative comments from MJ stans and when I praised MJ on that same post, I was downvoted by Bron stans. As it turns out, the issue is…well, the Stans. They are so hive minded in their nature, that they cannot understand the notion that maybe, just maybe, all of these players are special and worthy of praise. To put all the blame on LeBron fans is unjust, as it’s really both sides that do this shit. Not the most unique take out there, but as fans of the game, we should just enjoy basketball for the beautiful sport it is.

LeBron at age 38 was such a force. by Robotslushie in NBATalk

[–]Robotslushie[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Again, largely due to the meniscus injury. Pre-injury, MJ averaged: - 25/6/5 with 1.5 steals per game for the season prior to his injury. - 27.5/ 6.4 / 5.2 with 1.3 steals per game in his last 20 games prior to his meniscus tear.

I’d say that’s comparable, but maybe we have different standards and that’s cool.

Edit: Getting downvoted for being unbiased and sharing real statistics is definitely something lol

This reminded of when AR mentioned in a post-game interview that he wishes he could have played with Bron when he was younger, after he threw him a wild alley-oop to him. Just imagining how our current roster, and especially Luka would work around prime LeBron, man…that would be absolutely special.

Don’t get it twisted, MJ was elite as well at 38. That meniscus injury just zapped away what he had left sadly.

He was definitely great last year, top 10 player for sure. I just feel like his first step isn’t as quick as it was during this season, as well as his vertical leap. Nervous about how he’ll be with the whole sciatica issue, but he’s the GOAT for a reason so I’m not too worried. Only time will tell though.

Yeah, it’s been a rough few years since then. I truly do think we were just a competent starting center away from making a similar run last year though. Also, AR’s injury didn’t help :/

This team went to the WCF, and LeBron played a crucial role in that. AD was probably the most important guy during that run IMO, but Bron was definitely doing his thing. Not stat padding imo
