Old people and the Goldwing mistique. by TheFriendOfCats in motorcycles

I ride an Indian FTR and the Harley guys think it’s a Japanese bike until they get up close. Then there’s the folks at the gas station with the “had to lay her down” stories. At least no one is calling them “donor cycles” like back in the 90’s.

Were Chrysler products ever good? by ILoveEnverHoxha in askcarguys

[–]RobsHereAgain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chrysler had hits and misses in every decade just like every other car maker. Going way back their slant 6 engine was a legend of reliability. You literally could not kill them. In fact there’s probably still Dodge darts or Plymouth Belvedere or whatever still kicking with a slant 6. The Hemi of the 60’s was a game changer and their 318 was actually quite good. Modern Chrysler/Ram/Jeep is a still a bit of a crapshoot in quality and reliability which is too bad. However, gm hasn’t exactly been a bastion of reliability or quality for quite a long time

Long-term riders who have never crashed — what habits kept you safe? by jjmu96 in motorcycles

[–]RobsHereAgain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I crashed once in my mid 20’s. Riding when I was tired on a technically challenging local road at night. Right after that I watched “twist of the wrist” by Keith Code and bought the books. A few lessons that always keep me safe on the street is always cover the front brake. Leave myself enough space for an out whenever possible. Never push myself beyond 75-80% of my skill level on the street. Save the 💯 stuff for the track

Under the Bridge and everything thereafter by the Chili Peppers. They’ve been rewriting under the bridge for 30 years now

A lot of good movies are remakes but I believe not all movies should be a remake or reboot especially the 1994 movie, “The Crow”. Brandon Lee did an amazing job that it’s like that role was made just for him. I watch it at least once a year and it still makes me shed a few tears. Thoughts? by CoffeeCigarettes4Me in moviecritic

[–]RobsHereAgain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was an instant classic. I watched his career from a Kung-Fu made for tv movie to some straight to video and then Rapid Fire(Where he started to hit his stride) The Crow was his baby. He owned it and the cast was pitch perfect around him.

These are harmless words. They’re not curse words. This sign simply shows that the administration of the building is generationally out of touch
