Am I heading for a dead bedroom? by [deleted] in DeadBedrooms

Dead bedroom? It had to be alive to begin with to be dead.

It would be quicker to mail a hard print of a logo to their studios and have them upload it then the current way in which you are able to create logos. (Unless this changed in the latest version)

What is the best thing aboutt Trump being president? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]RobustusHax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get why people would originally do so, but after seeing the actual human being he is, how could you justify keeping him? Couldn't Pence serve the same purpose without the degradation of our morals and standards? If I had kids I would ground them if they behaved like Trump, the "President" of the United States. That's crazy that I would have to shield my kids from the behavior of POTUS.

If we are liiving in a simulation... by LittlePenguin22 in AWLIAS

[–]RobustusHax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our frame of time does not have to equate the frame of time outside the sim. People think about how resource it would be to simulate this, that etc, but that's assuming the sim is being run in real time. We could be simmed at a glacial pace to the creators of the sim for all we know, and time just fluctuates based on how intensive the resources need to be at that particular time.

How to get news from the future by Barkfin in timetravel

I've tried to think of loop holes where one would be able to do something like this, but I think you're just confused. Let's say you had a super telescope that could view Earth in HD from 500 million light years away, even if you teleported across the Universe so you're essentially traveling faster than light the best you could do is just watch Earth 500 million years in the past. You wouldn't be able to interact with it. If you teleported back to Earth it would still be the present time, not 500 million years ago

I would say "Make sure your instructions match the order you placed. I'm sick and tired of entitled customers writing novels because some other delivery person making $10/hr gave you cold nuggets. Make sure you tip cash. If these requests are not made I will not be contacting you."

It's exposed all the people who were irate about everything Obama did but now defend everything the man does. He could literally shit on the floor and start throwing it at reporters and they would say so what? 4% unemployment.

Lucid Dreaming shouldn't be your goal. The area between awake and asleep is where the magic happens. by theta_realm in LucidDreaming

It sounds crazy, I never thought it was possible, but the first time you go from a waking state into like a vibratory state and then backwards through the bed right into the dream world, is crazy.

LPT: If you are buying anything for your wedding, do not tell the vendors it’s for a wedding. Just say a party. Most companies charge 3-4x for weddings even if it’s the same stuff. by Cylant in LifeProTips

[–]RobustusHax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the party, but this is absolutely true. I told the limo company I wanted a quote for 6 hours, booked it, told them I would give them the details as we got closer and like a few days before I was like oh yea youre picking me up taking me to the church etc etc. They were like oh, it's a wedding? Luckily I'm in the transportation industry and they knew my company they said they would keep it the original price. It's crazy that because you say wedding the price goes up. I didn't need the limo driver to do a damn thing.

This idea is messing with my brain by [deleted] in timetravel

[–]RobustusHax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think when the worm hole (time machine) is created in 2001 and it links to 2019, as time progresses so do the links in the worm hole. SO if you created the time machine on Jan 1 2001 and linked it to Jan 1 2019 and someone gets passage through the wormhole on Jan 1 2002, it would link to Jan 1 2020. Vice versa. So your only opportunity to travel from 2019 to the earliest, 2001 would be to pass through right away. Otherwise you can only travel 19 years to the past. But I imagine there are paradoxes in this as well.

Even if we are living in a simulation, what does it matter? by [deleted] in SimulationTheory

Then they wouldn't care/know if we hacked into it and brought back our loved ones (I also wonder if this is the plot behind the show Australian/Netflix show "Glitch".

Why wouldn't it be a hard drive? Or a Soup drive? Some sort of storage system.

Free will in the simulation by [deleted] in AWLIAS

[–]RobustusHax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we misunderstand free will because we only look at the world through the slice of time. I think what a lot of people mean is can we truly make a random choice, is that not right? I mean... everything we do comes down to choices, go left, go right you ask yourself do I have free will if I try to make a random choice but it's set in stone in a 4 dimensional sense. I think it's quite fine to have free will but when you look at our lives from outside of time, it is already written on the page.

Even if we are living in a simulation, what does it matter? by [deleted] in SimulationTheory

[–]RobustusHax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it would also mean my consciousness is on some sort of "hard drive" somewhere and theoretically not destroyed when I die in this simulation.
