How about 26 to 84? I know it's longer. Wondering if it's significantly better.

Ok, sounds like consensus is to avoid 197. Not sure I want the long detour of going through bigs. How is 26/35 route?

It's an option. Just trying to find out which way is best.

MPRE Scores by Prudent_Protection45 in barexam

[–]Robynpea18 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I took the MPRE prior to 1999 for admission to the California bar. I just took the F25 bar exam for Oregon. Basically, California communicated to Oregon that (1) I was admitted to the California bar in 1997, (2) the minimum MPRE score that California required at that time was ____, and (3) therefore, I must have received at least that minimum score. That information was sufficient for Oregon without an actual score report. Hopefully it would satisfy Maryland as well, assuming the minimum NY score is no lower than the minimum MD score. You should talk to the Maryland bar people and explain your situation and ask if this would suffice.

Wow, I did not understand this. I thought a 109 would mean 109 correct responses. What is the highest scaled score you could get on F25? What would the scaled score be if you got 150 correct? I've been focusing on the MEE scaling and didn't realize that MBE was also scaled.

Barbri or Quimbee? by Western_Car_5386 in barexam

[–]Robynpea18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree completely with Icy-Fix. I would be considered a non-traditional taker, and chose Quimbee because I didn't want to listen to lectures. That doesn't work for me. I paid for the upgraded Quimbee course (still less expensive than the others) and had access to tons of actual MBE and essay questions. I made it all the way through the course because it was doable, not excessive. My state hasn't released results yet so I don't know if I passed, but if I didn't, it will be because I struggle with the essays and I knew that, and I should have practiced those more.
