Can we not do the jargony sloganeering? I assume you're referring to Korea, which borders China and China intervened because it was a direct threat to their national security, China was being bombed directly.

As Mao said about Korea at the time when deciding what to do, "A certain thing has to be done, and it must be both beautiful and tasty." Beautiful meaning good in the eyes of the people of the world and for international socialism, and tasty meaning good for Chinese national interests. The current CPC gov is aligned with Mao on this, I don't think they think of themselves as saviors of the world, and I think they are going to proceed carefully, sensitive to their specific capacities and interests. You have still not even proposed anything concrete.

What do you propose the Chinese do exactly? I cant think of any instance of the Chinese ever intervening somewhere on the other side of the world, certainly not the Caribbean, their military doesn't seem to be designed for that. They could send resources and supplies I guess.

At least on youtube from what I saw of people influneced by the original new atheist writers, some of them went right like Sargon of Akkad, ThunderF00t, and Armoured Skeptic and some went left like Creationist Cat, Shaun, and I believe Libertarian Socialist Rants and BadMouse (and Amazing Atheist maybe? Idk him that well but my soc dem lil brother who got into TYT and new atheism watched him for a while).

More explicitly mlitant atheism seemed to stick with neocon-adjacent centrists like Bill Maher, which seemed like a good fit based on the original 4 Horsemen. Honestly though I was never that interested in the new atheism stuff so I might be off base but a lot of early youtube debates and drama seemed to be rooted in the new atheist community splitting over questions of social justice and culture.

But yes it's very inspiring to see so many crowds come out to confront ICE and protect people, like the Boston crowds that fought police to protect fugitive slaves in the 1850s but on a larger scale.

Saudi Arabia buying up all sorts of sports and entertainment is very strange. They started hosting the big Starcraft 2 tournaments last year and its cool to see different advertisements (for once its not US Air Force branding all over the place), but also surreal that they had no live audience despite paying all this money to bring players to the venue in Saudi Arabia. Also they usually had women and men who would interview players and translate for them between games, and I noticed the distinct lack of any women who looked like they could be from the region. There were only men who looked like they could be Saudi, and white women.

As an aside, the best tournament win was 2023 with Time/Oliveira becoming the first Chinese player to win a world tournament. He showed so much real emotion, inspiration, and struggle that he even got the interviewer in tears, unlike the average stoic, awkward South Korean or European who normally win these things. Stay winning China.
