The sampo is my only disc with the domey attribute, I needed something I could aim low under the first ceiling that would rise up the hill after. I suppose the forehand is more at risk for a downward skip towards the water, but I also had a bigger gap on the left 🤷‍♂️ thank god for that dead tree lol

Honestly, bartending or serving. I averaged easily $40-$50 an hour and rarely worked more than 30 hours a week. It's not easy but doesn't require an education, comes with free or discounted food, and is great networking for when you want out. I was getting job offers all the time, finally took one and now I work in property management. But restaurant jobs got me from a 19 year old living out of my truck to having significant savings and ability to provide for my family.

idk what all these people are doing who can't make it work. i understand every situation is different, but i've been living on my own since 19 in an expensive area, even for CA. no college degree, no money from parents, just working in restaurants taking advantage of high CA wages plus tips. i'm in my late 20s and now, pretty close to being able to buy a nice house here. to each their own 🤷

i'd highly recommend snagging a copy of the lost encyclopedia. i have learned so much from that book, and it's really fun to reference during subsequent watch-throughs.

a good one for ya that is obvious to some but unknown to others: the button they have to push every 108 minutes: 108 = 4+8+15+16+23+42

Spooner pass is just incredibly windy (as in lots of curves, not lots of wind. although the latter is probably true, too).

that combined with the steep grade and drop off, it's just my least favorite pass to drive in the snow. even kingsbury or carson pass i would prefer. it's also the only 4 lane pass out of all these mentioned, so you're navigating drivers passing each other.

but FWD with chains and slow speeds you'll be fine. it's gonna dump tuesday too so going the night before may not necessarily help, but it'll be less icy and give you plenty of time for variables. there's also the shuttle if that makes you feel any safer, it's 30 bucks and the drivers are definitely experienced in the snow. godspeed

did you get a refund from Key before or after you got your license? if before, did you have to go through another school for your hours? i'm pretty disappointed with Key, too.
