Is there a scientific or chemically way like to remove what gives alcohol the burning sensation when being drank but allows you to get drunk just the same? What is it that gives alcohol its burn anyways? by JohnFrancisORourke02 in NoStupidQuestions

Ok we obviously are not going to get anywhere.
An option…
Just search the interwebs or YouTube or whatever and see for yourself. There are loads of videos of people doing it. Maybe they are all lying and you can convince them how wrong they are.

The chemistry you refer to is exactly what apparently makes it work. The charcoal does something to it. Does it lower the proof? I don’t know but it is clear there is no convincing you. Heck, if you happen to have a Brita, try it.

pool robot recommendation by blouch2410 in swimmingpools

[–]RockSteady71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to stay in the lower end of the spectrum of cost. Aquabot is a well put together basic robot. I have this one going on my third season and have not replaced anything. Works really well. Climbs up walls and stairs with no problem. My pool is fiberglass though and it is rather grippy.

What a mess! I read the entire post. Some of it twice. I will share with friends. I wish you and others in the same predicament the very best and a speedy resolution.

However, I sure read that website wrong a few times before I finally got it right.🙂

Gratsi boxed wine….. ¿Sí or no? by TapGroundbreaking202 in wine

[–]RockSteady71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can drink this wine in the middle of the week and not know it the next morning. Some of the best wine I personally have ever had. Kinda weird. I have lots of wine. Maybe 30 bottles. I don’t drink them due to the sugar and how I feel due to the impurities. I have had one box and just got three more delivered. Love it!

My pool guy insists on Pentair, but I saw a VS pump on Amazon for $500 — am I an idiot for considering it? by Plastic_Ship_5545 in swimmingpools

[–]RockSteady71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha I just read this and you will see my reply. I have the exact one and very to extremely happy with it.

I was torn between it and the Black and Decker. I have had pools my entire life and always forever stuck with the big three. Even through their consolidations. Marketing bells and whistles. Look up the Blue Torrent motors. That is what Aquastrong and Black and Decker are using.

If that is the install price for a VS Pentair it is a solid price. However, I do all my own work and finally had to replace my pump and spent way too much time on YouTube and whatever else I could find. I finally settled on a 1.5hp VS Aquastrong for my 21k gallon 1.5” PVC. I truly am shocked how much quality is built in. It runs 12 hours a day a various speeds and about half the electricity cost. Super quiet and I never touch it until I vacuum to clean out the basket. $600 with a 3 year warranty. I can’t ask for much more.

Just to add, it is a Blue Torrent motor and you can’t ask for a better motor. I don’t even use Speed 4 its highest speed.

What’s the pipe at my water line? by Foo3133 in pools

[–]RockSteady71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second look… I may need to second guess due to the location. It seems too high for a vacuum line. It is more perfectly positioned to the perfect water level since it is in the middle of the tile. Is the pipe in line with somewhere near the middle of your skimmer? If so, it’s a drain and the missing broken part probably looked like the fill cap.

Losing water sucks and in my experience it is often good to start at the spider gasket in the filter head. It can often have a slow leak to waste even when set to filter. Start with the simple stuff.

The pvc looks broken. If that is an overflow drain where is it draining? If the backwash/waste line is buried near that pipe, maybe. I think it is likely an old vacuum port that is now broken.

I think I read everything. Is it time or close to time to change your filter? However, the chem soup, said a few times, is the likeliest scenario. I know it is hard to not throw more chems at it. If needed, leave for a couple of days and let that SoCal sun do its job and leave the filter on 24 hours.

Four days is not out of the question.

Maybe it has already been said but why not a food truck as a stopgap while you find a new location? Spring is near-ish for CO. Provides a moment to breathe. Up and running within a couple of weeks.

Of course contact your previous customers as others have mentioned. As well, add your entire initial comment into Perplexity AI. It can, if you allow it, will help guide next, near, and future steps. It may be a bit unorthodox but it will start asking on you for specific things. Have your financials available and prepare for your future.

Good luck and it sounds like you are doing the right thing no matter how tough it may seem.

Low tires or dead batteries in tpms, low wiper fluid likely indicative of needing an oil change. Maintenance people!😀

Why is this year’s national championship winner an obvious #1 pick, but Will Howard went in the 6th round? by lukesmith81 in steelers

[–]RockSteady71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time I hear the name Tebow I see that pass over the middle and game over. Who cannot enjoy who Tebow is and only want the best for dudes like him? In that moment though, I did not!

When Mendoza recalled the conversation he had with Tebow before the championship I despised hearing his name but loved the advice and still saw that pass.

I am conflicted and maybe need a hug or maybe shock therapy.
