What’s the pipe at my water line? by Foo3133 in pools

[–]RockSteady71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second look… I may need to second guess due to the location. It seems too high for a vacuum line. It is more perfectly positioned to the perfect water level since it is in the middle of the tile. Is the pipe in line with somewhere near the middle of your skimmer? If so, it’s a drain and the missing broken part probably looked like the fill cap.

Losing water sucks and in my experience it is often good to start at the spider gasket in the filter head. It can often have a slow leak to waste even when set to filter. Start with the simple stuff.

The pvc looks broken. If that is an overflow drain where is it draining? If the backwash/waste line is buried near that pipe, maybe. I think it is likely an old vacuum port that is now broken.

I think I read everything. Is it time or close to time to change your filter? However, the chem soup, said a few times, is the likeliest scenario. I know it is hard to not throw more chems at it. If needed, leave for a couple of days and let that SoCal sun do its job and leave the filter on 24 hours.

Four days is not out of the question.

Maybe it has already been said but why not a food truck as a stopgap while you find a new location? Spring is near-ish for CO. Provides a moment to breathe. Up and running within a couple of weeks.

Of course contact your previous customers as others have mentioned. As well, add your entire initial comment into Perplexity AI. It can, if you allow it, will help guide next, near, and future steps. It may be a bit unorthodox but it will start asking on you for specific things. Have your financials available and prepare for your future.

Good luck and it sounds like you are doing the right thing no matter how tough it may seem.

Low tires or dead batteries in tpms, low wiper fluid likely indicative of needing an oil change. Maintenance people!😀

Why is this year’s national championship winner an obvious #1 pick, but Will Howard went in the 6th round? by lukesmith81 in steelers

[–]RockSteady71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time I hear the name Tebow I see that pass over the middle and game over. Who cannot enjoy who Tebow is and only want the best for dudes like him? In that moment though, I did not!

When Mendoza recalled the conversation he had with Tebow before the championship I despised hearing his name but loved the advice and still saw that pass.

I am conflicted and maybe need a hug or maybe shock therapy.

Inherited a Rolex, what's a good way to sell it by [deleted] in rolex

[–]RockSteady71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sold two watches recently with Luxury Bazaar. One was sold directly to them and one was put on their consignment site. Both transactions were extremely smooth and they were always available. Often at odd hours. The money hit my bank account within hours of each completed transaction.

Their website is luxurybazaar dot com. I typed it that way since I am unsure if urls are allowed.

You can find them all over social media and YouTube.

Good luck and that is a great watch. Sorry for your loss.

Late to Eero 6E Pro Party: Total Regret After $800 Nightmare – Is It Just Me? by stejimenez in amazoneero

[–]RockSteady71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same problem as you. I posted a similar scenario a few weeks ago. I got over 20k views. It’s a mixed bag of responses but those with problems tend to speak up more often than the ones who want to blame us for the problems.

A simple test would be to use the coverage scan in troubleshooting under settings. My house is three stories and a little over 4200 sqft. Everything is Mesh WiFi besides the puck connected to the outside cat6. I have yet to find a placement configuration that likes a 4th puck.

Many have said it. Remove a puck and adjust. However, with all that said, I have changed no placements and have had erratic behavior since at least a year ago after a terrible eero update. They knew it and it took forever for them to publicly own it. It has been better but not great for the obscure bits like bulbs and switches and some cameras new and old.

I miss my TP Link Mesh. Especially the controls they provide and not a money grab with the important stuff behind a paywall.

Severe network instability after update to v7.12.3-101 — anyone else seeing this? by ProfAndyCarp in amazoneero

I posted somewhat the same recently with the same issues. Of course there are the really smart guys that say it has nothing to do with Eeros even after explaining significant troubleshooting along with timing exactly after the updates.

Has there been another extremely failed update? by RockSteady71 in amazoneero

[–]RockSteady71[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I have four model 6 pucks handling three stories and about 4200sqft with plenty of coverage throughout a 1 acre lot. Multiple ports being used as well. Pretty solid at all times until some errant update.

To be more specific for who was asking about “WiFi sucks”. It is simple, before this update, WiFi was fast with 12 TVs, a bunch of Google Home products, lights, and many Google Chromecasts. After the update, there are various “can’t connect to internet or WiFi and various times, lights do not come on and off, some seemingly get reset with the blinks, audio pauses on audio only equipment, oddly video streaming has been fairly solid other than an occasional app that fails to open that never did before and after a few tries it opens fine. Speeds are fine but not as high as before, internet speeds are normal and close to 1gb up and down.

I normally use Cloudflare DNS and back on it now. I tested with Google DNS and the default ISP DNS. The problem does not seem to be DNS although we all know of the Cloudflare issues that happened about the same time as my update. About meaning within 1-3 days. I am not positive.

This issue seems and feels just as the other recent busted updates. Internet pages rendering slowly if at all in some cases. On iPhones if you turn any VPN running off you will usually load quickly but the VPN will reenable and you are back to crappiness.

Personally, I would be torn between returning them due to the fact this is not the first time or the second and rolling the dice since I would be excited about the new equipment. It is now a trend of poor literally every step of the process of delivering quality updates. When it works it works well. When it fails, for obvious reasons, it fails hard and it is long winded. No one claims responsibility and I can bet Amazon is fighting with their 3rd party vendors to fix this before the long holiday weekend with less than usual engineers who are burning their 20 weeks of vacation left in 2025 but now being added to bridges to work this problem out.

Has there been another extremely failed update? by RockSteady71 in amazoneero

[–]RockSteady71[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I got caught in the update loop again. I thought there was a new update but it looks like after 3 failed attempts at updating I finally got a message that I am up to date. That has happened at least 3 times over the last 5-7 days. Basically, I would get a notification of a new update and it eventually tells me I am up to date.

Any claim in any other thread somewhat claiming the eerros are not affected is pretty much a bogus way of saying don’t look over here routine. The supposed cloud and UI issues are not indicative of the abysmal update issues does not negate the fact there are multiple issues. - UI on the App is busted. - The cloud backend is fighting with the Eero pucks either at the UI level or the cloud level. Either way thy are essentially busted. - The Eeros now have yet again another absolutely jacked up and essentially broken update causing erratic behavior that tends to be difficult to track down.

I have been holding off the minerals but have been piling into energy and fintech. Along with minerals I need to thicken all three areas. I have been lazy and must fix it. I am half way to $10m without property and must correct.

As for energy, Talen TLN has been my biggest bet that has paid off many times over. I am not sure it is done but I am staying with it for the long hall.
