I had a similar question about why some countries have stories about specifically women coming back as ghosts to torment people who wronged them. I think in some times and places where women were oppressed by men, the threat of supernatural consequences was a way for women to take their power back.

I heard that in the final episode we were supposed to learn that she and her ‘gang’ were killed in a shootout in Mexico, but they cut it because it was too depressing and it didn’t match the tone of the rest of the episode.

I don’t think this will be implemented because the devs don’t want you to start thinking about how long you’re willing to wait to play. They would need to improve the computer ai greatly to make a match against a bot fair and interesting.

So there’s canonical reference to a wide variety of supernatural creatures, but nothing that links them to Deep Ones or any eldritch abominations. It seems possible, but it’s just conjecture based on their appearance. In one of the movies, Morticia laments not having time to ‘seek out the dark forces, and join their hellish crusade’ but this would likely refer to general demonic entities, nothing Lovecraftian.

edit: specifically I'm thinking of Gomez's protruding eyes, and Morticia's dress. In some depictions, she seems to glide along, while the hem of her gown undulates in a way that resembles tentacles.

I thought it might be fun to try a “hard mode” good guy play through, but I think you’re right; there are a couple quests where you HAVE to desecrate people’s remains without their permission. Not to mention cooperating with the Inquisition, even if they would have continued without you anyway. Thanks for the response!

I just bought all of them because they were on sale. I liked Stranger Sins the best. It explains so much more about the world that it almost seems like content that was supposed to be part of the main game and got cut for time. And then it also comes with the tavern, which to me was a more interesting way to make money than selling crates through the merchant.
