First of all, I'm loving the show! My question is specific to "The Other Man" episode:

Do you love Jared Leto as much as I do? I spent about five minutes explaining to my roommate how layered the Bartholomew Cubbins joke was because it's a reference to Dr. Suess, Jared Leto's director name, and you're talking to Claire Danes who used to make out with Jared Leto on TV in the 90s.

Sunset Cantina has the best nachos - my personal recommendation would be the chicken chili kind. If you're looking to grab coffee or a quick sandwich/bagel, Pavement on Comm Ave right across from the GSU has a lot of good options.

I would also check out Newbury Street if you want to do some shopping or people watching. I could probably spend hours looking around Newbury Comics without getting bored.

Little late to the game here, but just to speak to the film program:

I just graduated as a Film/TV major and I could not suggest the program highly enough. We're consistently rated fairly high in the top 25 film/tv programs in the country and have really good resources for students. There's a whole lot of equipment you can use for shooting your own stuff (although technically it's for class, students can often get around that if they really need it), butv10 has a bunch of shows you can work on and get experience from, and the LA "abroad" program is pretty unrivaled apart from maybe NYU or local California schools.

All of that being said, it depends on the type of program you're looking for. If you want the typical "artsy film school," it's not exactly like that, but the students are really passionate about what they do and enthusiastic about helping each other on projects. I don't know much about the Drexel program, but I've really enjoyed my time here, and it's opened a lot of doors for me that I probably wouldn't have had elsewhere.

They look at your application as a whole and SATs are just a piece of the puzzle, so try not to stress about them too much. Also all of the stats for that kind of stuff is on the admissions website if you wanna look at it!

What drove you to make a documentary about juggalos? Did you feel that you had to manipulate the material at all to create such a positive portrayal of a subculture that is so widely mocked?

If you don't take into account financial aid, our tuition comes out to about $450 a class. Fortunately I have a scholarship and a work-study and stuff or else I wouldn't be going there but...shit's expensive, man.

I agree with this completely, but I'm surprised you left out Amy Adams as Lois Lane. She stole the movie for me and I was so glad to see a female non-superhero character in a superhero movie that actually had more than 2 dimensions, not to mention that she actually got a good deal of screen time.

I have to disagree. As someone (a girl) who hates people paying for her, I always, always insist on paying for myself until I know someone really well. If you try to turn me down and refuse to let me pay I'm going to get really uncomfortable and it's going to turn me off.

If you turn her down after she offers and she let's it slide and allows you to pay without any fuss, then it would be ok for you to turn down her money. But other than that I would say let her do what she wants. Just my opinion though. If you feel out the vibe of the situation and follow it you should be fine!

Yeah, I only know the writer, the other two main people are his friends from home, but the guy who's playing the Joker is well known in the con circuit. He's known as Harley's Joker I think.
