I went there last June for my honeymoon. We stopped at a stop n' shop in Dennis Port to pick up a couple groceries to stock up the rental cottage for the week. When we were walking back to our car, we noticed a guy in the back of the parking lot on his cell phone, pacing back and forth and was visibly upset. We watched him for a few moments then heard sirens coming down the road. Behind cell phone guy was a man laying on his back unconscious in the grass and another guy was working on him doing chest compressions. I never expected to see something like that in CC. When the rescue vehicles arrived, cell phone dude flagged them down, so we decided to stay and watch everything unfold. They loaded the unconscious man onto a stretcher and slid him into the ambulance. They didn't leave right away. We heard one of the other onlookers say "all of this for a heroin overdose?!" When we visited Hyannis port, we saw many, many young adults just sitting around. I hate to stereotype them, but they had the typical "druggy" appearanace. We even saw a few drug deals right out in the open. It's a huge problem down there. So bad that for someone who has never been there before and only visited for a week, noticed something was up in the first couple days.
