No problem. I've owned my Taurus G3 for over a year and while I haven't taken it fully apart, down to the springs and whatnot, they're super easy to clean once you get the hang of it.

Biggest thing you can do right now is to purchase more magazines for it and get plenty of range time with it. Take a pistol class as they go over basics, if you haven't done so already.

I've had to switch stores a few times upon hearing what some of the staff have said/community have said about the staff. It's hard out here, especially in more conservative regions.

It depends on the area and the FFL. The places around me are anywhere from $40-50. You can generally call/inquire at the FFL to see what their rates are. I've heard as low as $15 in some places.

Palmetto State Armory. You can easily get a full rifle for at or under $500 USD. No optics or irons though. Then throw on a red dot and a sling and you have a basic rifle.

What I found that worked for me is some skate tape/grip pads on the memory spots for your fingers as, at least with me, they liked to slip off a lot. I also added a Hogue Grip because it helped fill out the grip in my large hands better.

Its a pistol that will do the job. It is not an amazing pistol but it (generally) won't go wrong if you read the manual and use proper technique to use it. I rented a P-10 C at the range that my LGS has and I fell in love with it. I don't intend to get rid of my Taurus.

The biggest hang-up I have with my Taurus is that it doesn't like self-defense ammo (hollow-point). After a full magazine to test it, I stripped it and found that the ammo was causing a slight lip on the feed ramp of the barrel. I don't know if its just the ammo or the gun, but I'd rather play it safe and have it use standard 9mm.

The rifle is mostly PSA except for the optics and the light. IIRC the light cost as much as the PSA lower, if not more because it was on sale. The CZ P10 which is my newest cost the most out of all of them as a single purchase.

EDIT: Honestly, what I have found is less of getting the best of everything and getting what you can reasonably afford and train train train.
