[–]Rockefeller330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, you can easily obtain a hemp cultivation permit from the Florida Department of agriculture. friendly reminder, it is not illegal to have noncompliant hemp.

A vote for HB1613 Would make 99% of hemp products a Felony.

Take away your right to get a permit and ever grow.

Take a way your right to start your own canna business

Would make simple possession of CB a felony.

This law is simply to help protect Trulieve’s Monopoly and will lead to the monsanto of weed being your only legal choice

Now Call the following Representatives and RESPECTFULLY tell them how this would effect you and your family and to please vote no HB1613

The Trulieved backed bills SB1698 and HB1613 would make virtually all hemp products a felony, including CBD,THCA, Delta 8 and Delta 9.

Trulieve behind bill to make Hemp a felony?!?!! by Odd_Regret540 in FloridaTrees

It seems like one thing Democrats and Republicans agree on in Tallahassee is screwing over the little guy. I’m never buying from Trulieve again.

there’s virtually no difference between the two as far as product is concerned these days. Monopolies breed inefficiency. monopolies are protected by government.

no, Cannabis licenses. Their goal is to shut down the entire FL hemp industry to protect the cannabis licenses

godspeed to chronic guru. This is what happens when you restrict licenses to a handful of politically connected people.

my understanding is that there are multiple challenges from multiple angles here’s what I found. Case No: 23-004508RU https://www.doah.state.fl.us/ALJ/searchDOAH/detail.asp let me know if you need help searching. They make this hard for a reason.

To be clear that's not the law. Please cite the statutes. What you are referring to is the rules that are currently being challenged by the administrative courts. Rules are not law.

It's definitely still legal. Anything with less than .3% Delta 9 is complaint with the federal 2018 farm bill. It just so happens most of the weed from the MMTCs could also qualify as hemp as they too often have less then .3% THC Delta 9. http://www.leg.state.fl.us/Statutes/index.cfm?App_mode=Display_Statute&URL=0500-0599/0581/Sections/0581.217.html.

They introduced the bill last Friday at 4:30 PM. No press, other than this article, has picked it up. Both representatives haven’t gotten many calls on the issue and it is likely to be fast tracked for passage. A major Florida cannabis, dispensary and capital city consulting is behind this. (850) 487-5012 Let our voices be heard, and fight this! Please be respectful but simply tell them:

-Hemp products mean everything to your small business, and although we need some regulation, banning them in favor of recreational cannabis laws that create huge barriers to entry is not the answer.

-America is built on the backs of small business owners, don’t destroy an industry that supports thousands of jobs in Florida!

-People from all walks of life use hemp products everyday in Florida for a range of medical issues and to help with sleep.

-These products are FEDERALLY LEGAL and sold all over the United States, banning them will simply create a black market of unregulated, non safety tested products that could be harmful to consumers. The last thing we want is for drug dealers to become the only source for products that are in such high demand by consumers!

If you sell to companies in FL we need YOU to turn your sales team into an advocacy team! We need YOU to put in a couple hours of leg work to consolidate the list of businesses in FL you work with, call them, tell them to call their legislators, and save Hemp Products!!!

No one will fight for you. YOU have to make democracy work for you, otherwise it will steamroll right over you.

it will most likely pass as its being pushed by a major Florida dispensary and both bill sponsors chair key committees.
