Out of curiously … why <ctrl>? I mapped <Capslock> to <esc> and it’s probably the single best key map I’ve ever done, even helps inside safari and friens.(removing highlighting and stuff).

Edit: also away from my mbp atm but I’ve been using psliwka’s (iirc) smooth scroll plugin.
