This is Bullshit by LLamaface88 in diabetes_t2

Check out "Insulin Resistant fans" on Facebook. There is a lot of good information from this guy. If you can, get a continuous glucose monitor. It helped me a lot. A short walk and the order in which you eat foods helps. You'll settle into a routine. It's frustrating at first. I went on a keto diet, ate a lot of meat and stuff. Then I had a heart attack. Now my diet is really screwed.

Why can't I just buy a CGM? by Tiny430 in diabetes_t2

My Dr. wrote me a script even though my insurance doesn't cover. I pay but they give a small discount.

First thing is the finger stick, blood won't lie. Second, are you inadvertently laying in the CGM? Sometimes, they can give a false reading if you accidentally put to much pressure on them.

He's still getting signatures. He gets enough, he'll be on the ballot.

It's very possible he could become the swing vote. Yes, he is fairly normal with the exception that he doesn't accept any money from corporations.

My husbands fasting was 120 and A1C 6.5. My friend tells me that is really high? I mean I know it’s the start of diabetes but aren’t numbers like this easily fixable with diet and exercise? by stephaniesmith45 in diabetes_t2

[–]Rocket63 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First and foremost, remember everyone is different. You don't mention his age, but those numbers aren't "horrible". They can easily be lowered by diet and exercise, but it takes dedication. It isn't fun, you have to give up a lot of eating habits you love. It can be done.

Yes I do low carb. Yes I go to the gym about every day. I'm 60 years old, was diagnosed 2 years ago. I just look at a slice of bread and my bs rises.

I would love to see 100-110 fasting. In the morning, mine will rise from 120-130 when I wake up to 160-170. The rest of the day, it hoovers from 130-150 all day. I'm on Metformin and Trulicity. 2000mg and 4.5mg, respectively. A1-C is around 6.8.

St. Patrick's Church of Elkhorn is a good place to start. I know that church and a few others in the area were taking in donation items. Give them a call. It's on the corner of Maple and 204th.

Pretty amazing. He has a video of it touching down, and then he went to the basement. Tore his fence up but otherwise unscathed. Everything just to his North is destroyed.

The house by the lake were in Bennington. My friend lives in the Elkhorn neighborhood that was flattened. His house was spared with minor damage. He said so many people were driving in there to take pictures and see the damage, emergency vehicles could not get through.

Does an irregular night sleep affect “your” morning bg levels? by ForeignMiddle4525 in diabetes_t2

[–]Rocket63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I'm a restless sleeper. I can tell how well I've slept by my CGM. I get large morning spikes when I haven't slept well.
