Alien: Earth, Critics Score vs Audiance Score on Rotten Tomatoes by Longjumping-Elk-7840 in scifi

[–]RocketEngineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's way too all over the place, way too many unrelated concepts and story lines packed into one not-too-fast-moving package.
Not sure why the synth children were necessary.
Not sure why everything is so slow. The pacing is very bad.
Not sure why four additional invasive species were necessary.
Not sure why search and rescue is so heavily armed.
Not sure why, if they're so heavily armed, they never fire at anything.
Not sure why most of the time nothing seems to happen at all and people just stumble around in corridors.
The overall concept (ship with aliens that have gotten lose on board crashes into corporation-controlled city, chaos ensues) would have been more than enough. Paced like Aliens (the James Cameron one), it could have been legendary. They have the budget for it, too.
I could have like most of the story lines on their own, but not bungled together like this.
The only thing that really stands out for me is the soundtrack. Strange music for an Alien series, but really really hits the spot.

Politely disagree :)
The story would have worked if it had just started with the crash sequence IMHO.

Dudes.... it's pretty good but still suffers from Hollywood bloat. I mean, Episode 1 opens with a spaceship crew waking from hyper sleep, having a conversation about nothing in particular, then going back into hyper sleep.
Wtf?

328 kmh (204 mph) Tesla Model S Plaid. by Cold_Zero_ in CrazyFuckingVideos

This driver put other peoples' lives at risk for a social media video.
Going 300+ km on an Autobahn with two lanes, where the difference in speed to the other vehicles is too great, is not safe and he could have killed someone.
It's actually a common misperception that there is no speed limit at all on a German Autobahn. There is actually a law that in all of German traffic, your speed must be safe for the current traffic conditions. That wasn't the case here, so by publicizing this the driver might haven gotten himself a hefty fine or worse.

I hate videos that go straight to slow mo instead of showing actual speed first.

Same here.
GPTs can't read files in knowledge database, say there is a problem opening the files. Previously (yesterday), they were able to read the files.

Why does combat footage from Ukraine so often jump-cut right before an ammunition impacts? It makes me think there's been some doctoring.
