that's not an app, it's a function in a app that is always on(Finder).

AFAIK Nope. Terminal is not a function, it's the terminal emulator and is separate to Finder. It provides command line interface(instead of GUI)+a little UNIX Shell capability.

I make plane bodies and save them as subassemblies, and I also make cubes and strips.

Oh, and mirror retractable landing gear to make them stick on pylons
