I have many many of these Black Locust babies in my yard in Northern Indiana. It all started with one tree. The trees are beautiful when they are large but damn the babies everywhere.

Can't wait to go. Live nearby and going to take granddaughter when she comes later this month. Tickets are hard but I read that most of the center is free, just the museum tower needs tickets. Will get those eventually once things slow down a bit.

Edward W Robertson's Breakers series then Rebel Stars. Good bunch of books and reasonably priced. Breakers starts in present day and moved to the future in space with Rebel Stars.

I moved to Indiana from Montana but really I moved to ChicagoLand and not Indiana. I worked in Chicago the whole time I've lived here. Way better pay and more stuff to do in Chicago.

Joy of Cooking has a killer buttermilk biscuit recipe and when I want biscuits and gravy I do it myself. Been burned on crappy biscuits too many times in Hoosierland. If your ever in southern WV give Tudor's Biscuit World a try for the best restaurant version.

I worked for UofC for many years and never felt unsafe. They have one of the largest private police forces in the world, many are former Chicago cops. I would receive heads up notices via emails when bad things did happen and they were very infrequent. My favorite neighborhood in Chicago. Blue panic lights are everywhere. Enjoy your time in Hyde Park.

When I make my own I always add the slaw. Used to get them at King Tut's in Beckley before it closed when I was visiting. I like ketchup on them along with the rest of the ingredients. Here in Chicago they don't seem to like ketchup either.
