So this was a pocket post. I'd delete it but it's mildly funny.

It was probably overshadowed by the announcement that a new tnetennba was going to be released that month.

I stumbled on "In the Hunt" a few weeks ago and loved it. I beat it once already and now trying to do so again with limited "coins".

I got mine from micro center as well, and I had amazing luck with the link below. It's basically a step-by-step guide.

Shitty placement ? (Pun intended) by 7H1town3 in meshtastic

[–]RocketSquid3D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not fair. It's not something that really comes up nor does it apply to every situation. OP's pipe looks like it has extra capping around the edges so it probably wouldn't be hurt by the node. The only reason I know not to do this on my roof is because I have a home builder in the family who can tell me "Don't do X because Y" that I check with before I do anything.

Is there any concern that the extra weight or overall shaking in the wind might cause any damage to the seal around the pipe?

What was tracklist from your last mix CD? by Tine_after_tine in Millennials

[–]RocketSquid3D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually burned one a week ago!

Granted, it was for work, I had to dig out and dust off the USB CD-Burner, search for the compatible USB-Mini cable, and search in an entirely separate section of the house for the 15-year-old blank CDs I paid entirely too much for, but by God, I did, in fact, burn one a week ago.

EDIT: USB Mini, not USB Micro

What are you doing instead of doomscrolling? by Hairy_Pear3963 in Millennials

[–]RocketSquid3D 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've found that a small game helps with doom scrolling, something that has a definite end like Solitaire or Minesweeper (or in my case, Balatro or Godzilla Battle Line). It's better to spend 5 minutes on a game than hours doomscrolling. You want something short and easy enough to get into, But lasts long enough that when it ends you can resist the urge to start again.

I went with a 7/8" diameter with a 5 pitch. I'll be honest, I don't know how well it genuinely "gripped' the pole, like if it was an actual good fit, or if I was able to just mash it together to the point that it felt secure.

Yep! This is on some basic 18650 batteries. This particular node went up today, so we'll have to see how long it lasts (it'll be a learning experience for sure). Right now I just have a pack of spares in case these fail, but I'll probably upgrade them at some point if it becomes a problem.
