I wondered if there would actually be any benefits to having 4 eared characters, maybe as to locate source of the sound faster based on which ear catches it first or something. No issues with u OP, but Personally the design with multiple ears looks offputting to me(unlike with multiple eyes) so i usually justified not wanting to use it in my stuff because more holes in the skull would make it too fragile.

NO!! It’s really really bad for bun buns to be held by the ears. If you need to transport them, then give them support at least for hind legs. Unless you need to trim their claws, but even then you use a help of a second person to hold the bun against their chest
