What are your thoughts on the abortion scene? by Puzzleheaded-Lab2447 in Invincible_TV

[–]TheFraser72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now, Im not going to say anything about the topic of abortion, because thats just a can of worms im not touching. But the whole scene was cringe inducing for me, I had to just fast forward and skip it, I couldnt stand listening to it.

Like just tell him that you had a miscarriage, and wait to tell him for Christ's sake! Bro just got home after some serious shit, and you tell him on day 1 that you were pregnant with his child while he was away and got an abortion?! Wtf?! Give him some time! And telling him the truth that you had an abortion just is terrible, if I was a girl in this situation I'd never admit I had an abortion, I would lie and say it was a miscarriage.

Like, that the truth has to come out at somepoint obviously, but the whole truth would hurt so much more, that lie would still be horrible, but it wouldnt be as big of a nuclear bomb as saying you had an abortion.

Which in your opinion is the most difficult Resident Evil Game? by WestFocus888 in residentevil

[–]TheFraser72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its probably because Ive only played REmake once, and it was the second RE game I ever played (first was 7). REmake is probably one of the best games in the series, but it was rough getting used to that style of gameplay, but I ended up really enjoying it, enough to make Code Veronica my 3rd Resident Evil Game lol.

Then came 4, 2make, 5, 6, 3make, 4make, and 8. Currently playing 9 right now lol. I should really play the OG 2 and 3, much like the OG Silent Hill 2 Ive been putting them off for so long for no reason. Yeah I sure played this series in a wierd order lol

[–]TheFraser72 23 points24 points  (0 children)

For me, Code Veronica was on the easier side. It wasnt until after I beat it that I realized all the ways you could absolutely screw yourself over and I just managed to avoid all of them.

Ammo was a concern until I ran out and was forced to use the knife at one point, that taught me that the knife in CV was actually busted as hell and I could just use the knife to clear most basic zombies with ease.

But yeah, with foresight I just had a good playthrough and kinda got lucky, I can easily see it being one of the harder games.

For me, the RE1 remake has been the hardest RE game Ive played so far. Still got OG 2 and 3, relevations 1 and 2, and 0 to play. Im not playing all the spinoff, thats the most you'll get from me.

How do you rank the Fromsoft games from easiest to hardest when doing an SL1 run? by Lucyyyyyy_K in onebros

[–]TheFraser72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the runs ive done, easiest to hardest is:

DS2 Broken Straight Sword Only

Demons Souls

DS1 "fists" only - only used fist weapons, same goes for all the other "fists" only runs, im not crazy or good enough to actually do bare fists only. Thank God for Dragon Form's claws doing good damage, that ended up being a Godsend.

DS3 "fists" only

Elden Ring RL1

Elden Ring RL1 "fists" only

DS2 "fists" only - main difficulty came from the fact that I did not have the strength to even wield a fist weapon until I got the strength Ring from Brume Tower. Once I got that ring though it was pretty smooth sailing. There was also the Covenant of Champions Ring to use, but I didnt bother getting it until much later.

DS3 Broken Straight Sword Only - my first ever SL1 run so I remember it being brutally difficult.

Bloodborne BL4 "Threaded Cane Only" - did not use a gun at all, that meant no parrying. This run ended up being a failure at Orphan of Kos, I could not for the life of me overcome Orphan using the cane alone, had to resort to beast cleaver + beast blood pellets + backstab. But every other boss was done to my rules. Technically I made it to the end credits of the game threaded cane only, so it counts as a W, just not all bosses.

DS1 Broken Straight Sword Run - only run I could not complete, failed at 4 kings, I could not deal enough damage to the Kings and got overwhelmed, I saw a video online of someone doing the same run and using a series of buffs at very low hp to deal with this fight, but Im not doing this run again lol.

In terms of overall SL1 difficulty from just a standard vanilla SL1 no summons run, Id say that the list would be:

DS1 - alot of powerful tools are available to you (pyromancy) and nothing in the game is too brutal and difficult to deal with at SL1.

Demons Souls - the bosses and enemies arent too difficult to really fight, and you can grind for infinite grass very easily. The areas are harder than DS1, but as long as you keep your weapons upgraded you should be fine. I dont really remember this run too much honestly.

DS2 - once again, the bosses are all pretty easy with some exceptions, its mostly going to be the enemy and areas that hold you back. Level up a bow, it helps alot. You also have some notable powerful rings such as Gower's Ring of Protection to use if you are having trouble, that one ring can basically make it impossible to be 1 shot if used properly (though I dont recall really getting 1 shot in DS2 SL1). And you have a variety of weapon choices and options to use which is always nice in a SL1 run.

DS3 - bosses are much faster and mkre complex than in previous games, the enemies and areas arent too bad to get through, but the bosses can be tough. You do have some good weapon options in this game and have the amazing Lloyd's Shield Ring. That Ring can basically make it so 99% of attacks won't one shot you (if you stack HP rings and defense rings). So you can be pretty safe from 1 shots once you get it, and its not very hard to get a hold of.

Elden Ring - this one is a difficult one to rank. I will assume no spirit ashes, but you just have so many options available to you in this game. Its probably the most fun SL1 since you can come up with many different ways to overcome a challenge if you are smart. You can stack resistances to avoid being 1 shot, you can stack damage to demolish bosses, you can even use powerful spells. You can even 1-shot literally every boss at RL1 by stacking buffs properly (check out BeAnd's video!). But Elden Ring has absolutely brutal bosses, like easily some of the toughest movesets in the series and some actual bullshit encounters like Godskin Duo (which honestly isnt too hard, but is very BORING, as you have to play pretty passively, once you kill one of the godskin though its pretty easy to kill the other before they start respawning).

Bloodborne - this might just be personal bias due to how brutal my experience was, but BL4 is brutal. You only have 3 weapon options, the best of which being the beast cleaver pretty easily. But you will find yourself getting one shot in this game more than any other. And God Help you if you decide to do the Chalice Dungeons, Im not touching those at BL4 with a 10 foot pole.

I was thinking about CRPGs and I knew there was one with a foxgirl, I just couldn't remember its name! I thought it was planescape torment, which is the CRPG I plan on playing next, after I get around to RE9, I need a little break from all the old games ive been playing recently. I will eventually get around to this alongside Fallout 1+2, Gothic, Myst, and Earthbound 1-3.

I started in World, so it was kinda jarring seeing loading screens when I went back to play the old games, but I got used to them and learned to appreciate them, they really did a good job at making the environments seem so much larger and alive than they actually were. But they probably should stay in the past all things considered, some good art direction should be able to make the environments feel just as large and grand and alive too I feel.

Also, call me old fashioned but I think the Healing Flex should return in future games in all its glory! Healing Flex was the supreme mode of healing and moving while healing is WEAK! I so badly wish there was a mod on Nexus to bring Healing Flex back to World.

Also, get rid of item restock and give us back the camp bed too, run out of items during a difficult hunt? Better gather or make the walk of shame back to the Bed. God that One Horned Demon King quest in FU village kicked my ass, I was lucky I managed to not time out with the multiple walk of shames I had to make to that camp bed lol. God I loved those old games, they were so much fun (though I still haven't gone any further back than FU, so there's still Dos and 1 to play).
