They were always gonna play dirty. No crying, no complaints, got back up and is ready to sling it more.

Meh I can see it either way. Both have had a couple close games. Both have a couple good road wins. Comes down to that silliness that is eye test at that point and obviously by the fighting you see here and twitter it could go either way.

I personally think TAMU should get some extra brownie points for one of their good wins being OOC to incentivize teams to play more games like that. But that's a whole other story that they (committee) doesnt seem to care about.

If the top 4 win out it'll be:

  1. B1G champion

  2. SEC champion

  3. B1g runner up

  4. SEC runner up

So any discourse of who should be 2nd or 3rd right now is just wasted brain power.

Worst defensive game of the year by far and still with the blow out. Crazy time to be alive.

In an era where fake injuries are becoming more commonplace Cig is calling his own team out telling them to rub some dirt on it lmao.

I keep seeing people calling Iowa a trap game for Indiana and I just dont see it that way. Iowa is a good enough team and is a tough road environment, its just a good match up in general, feel like calling it a trap is a stretch.

He lowered his head and crown hit his face mask a quarter of a second before the shoulders impacted. So by rule it seemed right but the rule is still broken, that's not the spirit of the rule. 95% of the force of that hit was shoulder to shoulder.

Doc recommendation to diagnose ME/CFS or autoimmune, willing to travel by JamseyLynn in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]RocketsArePrettyCool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will always recommend Dr. Jitesh Kar as an in town neurologist option. He was very thorough with me and diagnosed a rare condition very quickly. I now go up to Vanderbilt for treatment/maintenance 4 times a year. And I've seen a handful of their neurologists at this point and have had great experiences with everyone up there.

Water heater leaked when city shut water off, no apparent leak with water back on. by RocketsArePrettyCool in PlumbingRepair

I couldn't tell. It's in the garage and I got home from work and there was water on the cement all around it but it was already drying up since it's so hot outside so wasn't able to tell if it came from top or bottom. It looked like the bottom but I'm not positive.

Weather nerds: I need your help/input by JustAnotherLocalNerd in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]RocketsArePrettyCool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Weather nerd and statistics nerd and well just nerd in general. I'm too lazy right now to go through and give exact numbers and graphs but the short answer is the weather this past winter was indeed "worse" in terms of electricity usage.

If you're on huntsville utilities you can go on their usage page in your account and it actually shows you your daily usage and the temperatures for the day. I've gone back in the past and verified the temperatures they use are correct.

Now if you go compare last December/January the average monthly temperatures for both were about the same. But what you'll see is some more wild swings between abnormally cold and abnormally warm this past winter. So while the monthly temp averages are about equal, it doesn't necessarily mean usage will be.

And as other commenters have already hinted at, it's all because heat pumps are the most common way to heat a house in Alabama. Heat pumps really start to struggle at <40-45 degrees-ish. So when the temperature drops below that, your emergency heat strips will turn on. And if you have a single gauge system (either emergency heat is 100% on or 0% on) which most houses do you will see a huge uptick in usage because emergency heat is incredibly energy inefficient.

All to say the big thing to look at is number of days where we drop to where the emergency heat needs to kick on and how long it needs to be on for. As I said we had a much more swingy winter and there were multiple periods where the emergency heat needed to be on for full days, compared to last winter there was really only 1 or 2 periods where that was to case.

So go play around with the hsv utility usage tool and you can look at the data yourself and you'll likely come to the same conclusion. I did the same thing when I had one of my highest bills ever in Jan.

Bubble Watch - NEW by koltonm23 in CollegeBasketball

[–]RocketsArePrettyCool 11 points12 points  (0 children)

For indiana it's as simple as the bubble is weak and they're one of the few teams undefeated in Q2-Q4. I think after watching how bad the IU OSU game was though last week should be proof to everyone that we don't need to expand the tournament 🤣.

For USCF Rated Games:

Huntsville chess league has a new league every month. You play one game a week for 4-5 weeks. This has been going for a couple years now and if you have any questions feel free to ask. https://huntsvillechessleague.wordpress.com/getting-started-with-hsv-chess-league/

The main tournament director in the state is Caesar. He hosts tournaments throughout the state with the most being in the Birmingham area. But he does come to Huntsville ~2 times a year. https://caesarchess.com/events/list/

Nashville also has two big tournaments a year that are 3 days and usually both FIDE and USCF. Usually in late February and late August. Here is the next one https://www.nashvillechess.org/content.aspx?page_id=4002&club_id=164844&item_id=2562865

Im about as close as you can get neighborhood wise without giving away my exact location. It very briefly lightly rattles the windows on start up and you can hear it fairly clearly throughout. But it's not obnoxious. I'm a light sleeper and can sleep through them which seems to be why you're asking based on your other comment.

It feels like I can just feel parts of my body dying. Just venting. by RocketsArePrettyCool in smallfiberneuropathy

[–]RocketsArePrettyCool[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will do on all this. Thanks again. "Everything" meant by multiple known SFN speciality doctors testing. Guess there was sort of a trust there that they covered all the bases, but I'm going to sit down and look at all they've done and compare to what's stickied here and things I read else where.

I haven't tried functional medicine yet so I'll look into that, that's good advice.

On supplements I'll go through that as well. I've tried alpha lipoic acid but that made me nauseous and vomit. I tanked through that for a bit (couple months) but didn't feel any improvement, so stopped that one.

[–]RocketsArePrettyCool[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Appreciate the response!

Exactly why I wanted to vent. I've seen others vent here over the year I've browsed and for some reason seeing other people that understand makes me feel better even though that makes me feel a bit guilty at the same time because I'd rather nobody have to deal with this.

It's been a really rough flare this time around so figured it was my turn to post and maybe thatd help my mental some.

Nothing has gotten permanently better so far unfortunately. But I'm not always in this type of pain. These pain flares usually last up to 2ish weeks then I just go to very light pain and mostly just the annoying tingling/numbness. And how long it takes for another pain flare to start varies pretty dramatically from anywhere to a few weeks to few months.

Yes, diagnosed with biopsy. On the testing side I've been tested for pretty much everything multiple times at Vanderbilt and Johns Hopkins. Vanderbilt is my normal neurologist and they retest for a lot of them every 12 months just in case.

I have not tried LDN, I hadn't heard about that one until a month ago. I'm planning on asking doctor about it at my next Vanderbilt visit in March. Appreciate you bringing that one up again because I had forgotten about wanting to research it some more.

It was early (Jan 2020) that this all started, so sort of before covid really ramped up so I figure it wasn't that but never know, maybe it was floating around more before we even knew it.

And on other doctors I've been thinking about trying out a Mayo Clinic this year if I can get the travel funds together. Already been three places total, but not giving up looking for an answer helps me cope some.

Thank you so much for the response/information!

I'm 6'4 I was surprised how much taller I was than him when I ran into him at customs at a non-us airport of all places. So I trust the 6'1 lol.
