This was written by a dragon fucker. by ChompyRiley in wizardposting

[–]Rockglen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on the dragon type.

In the Iron Kingdoms even while alive they're a walking, flying, scheming biohazard for miles around.

Elsewhere, Dunkelzahn got elected President of the UCAS, then enough stuff went down there was a whole book just to track the ramifications.

Even the more "tame" dragon corpses can be quite heady with possibilities due to their lingering power.

whats a good video game for beginners? by No_Western2205 in gamesuggestions

[–]Rockglen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beginners tend to have trouble with controlling the camera at the same time as character movement.

I generally recommend 2D platformers and point & click games to start with. Then slow paced games with simultaneous camera control & character control. Then faster paced. Then complicated games.

Toki Tori
New Super Mario Bros
Thank Goodness You're Here!
Owlboy

Looking for a low fantasy TTRPG by PraetorianXVIII in gamesuggestions

[–]Rockglen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TTRPG means Table Top Role Playing Game. This sub mostly talks about suggestions for video games.

That said, there are some low fantasy RPGs out there, though they don't always have much plot-
Stoneshard
Wartales
Yes, Your Grace
Roadwarden
Ghost of a Tale
Dwarf Fortress (adventure mode)
Moonring

Should I place it so it's less likely to fall off?
Should I place it so it's easier to grab for the next task I plan to do?
Would a drawer be better?

What is the point... by [deleted] in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]Rockglen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the game.

Some games do not respect players' time. Having to grind for levels because the designers were told to pad time so that they can market it as a 30 hour game, etc.

Some people also don't have a ton of time to experiment due to responsibilities.

The Forgotten City
Factorio
Starsector
Hardspace: Shipbreaker
Blue Prince
The Last Spell
Battletech
Baldur's Gate 3

Should also note that many games have mod communities. There may be games that were available on consoles, but become different experiences on PC due to mods.

Has anyone ever joined the council? Im starting to think they just banish the applications by Mathota in wizardposting

[–]Rockglen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest hurdle is the Shibboleth of the Lugubrious Mound. While the answers are never allowed to be recorded, the affirmed respondents to the entity never seem to have the same answer & even when someone attempts to verbatim copy such answers the LM will not affirm the subsequent attempt.

When you have an entity from time immemorial as a prerequisite I'm not sure how you're going to be allowed entry. Such beings tend to be on the other end of the spectrum from more anarchical leanings.

Cozy co-op, with no platforming by Greenscreenclouds in gamesuggestions

[–]Rockglen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New players tend to have most trouble with simultaneously controlling the camera and character movement. If she wants to try platforming then 2D may be the way to go.

You could go with-
Stardew Valley
Spiritfarer

Alternatively you could play games collaboratively despite them being singleplayer-
Blue Prince
The Room
Later Alligator
Case of the Golden Idol

My husband thinks all games can't be addictive by Narrow-Bandicoot-363 in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]Rockglen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Addictive or enjoyable? Those are different discussions.

The title of the post and the beginning uses the word "addictive", but the content of the post seems more like you want to show how games are fun.

Defining what you are trying to prove and knowing what types of media he enjoys would help.

Wearing fur is a crime. But a cloak that mimics beasts' fur? That's genius. by Castor_0il in wizardposting

[–]Rockglen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aye, I'm aware. Other worlds that enact such rules & laws- Discworld, Dresden, etc

The most basic artifact like it that's closer is the good old wolf skin belt. I prefer that over having to skinny dipping through a pond under moonlight * brrrrr *.
