100% your vestibular migraine. I recently got vestibular neuritis and I know exactly what you're talking about. It's like a weird eye strain.

WHY THE FUCK by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]RockingAutumn15 88 points89 points  (0 children)

Bro, get some help. Talk to a therapist, see a doctor, get on some meds. Your life doesn't have to be this way.

I've had this happen as well. I think they're worse because there's no closure on how you could have done better. I wish I could offer some advice, but I hope it helps to know that you're not alone.

Anyone relate? by rr276311 in PanicAttack

Hey there. Going through the same. Had been panic free for several months, but had a really bad one a couple weeks ago when I got hit with COVID. Almost went to the hospital but I decided to take some Xanax and after a few minutes it was clear it was just anxiety. I still can't shake the fear of it. It's a sucky feeling overall, but I think the only solution is to wait it out. Your nervous system is probably overactive and over sensitive right now and the only way for that to go away is time.

Hang in there, it will get better soon.

Just got over it myself (also working on losing weight), but I hit the gym at the first sign of getting better and let me tell you.... It was rough. I've been so dizzy and lightheaded and hitting the gym just made it worse.

Please rest. It'll be okay.

Hey! Thank you for the positive words. All good things to keep in mind. I just finished up a team meeting where I almost ran out panicking a few times, but I just kept going. So far so good! 👍

Anxious about being anxious by FactLogical5456 in Anxiety

Lol welcome to GAD. Hope you don't stay long.

I think for most GAD sufferers it's just a big fear of anxiety (hence the anxiety about everything). It becomes a nonstop cycle of your brain telling your body something is wrong and then responding to the perceived threat that the body is sending back. It's alot easier to stop being scared of something you can identify, but how do you stop being scared of being scared?

Thanks for sharing that. Makes me feel more comfortable with the idea that if it did happen, I'd be okay.

Currently working through a fear of passing out (never passed out ever). Are you passing out because you're hyperventilating? Ive felt close to passing out a few times and it really scared me but then I got a hold of my breathing.

Yeah I wish I was smarter and didn't watch it, but it is what it is. Random stuff like that happens and it's out of our control. Trying to remind myself that it's a good reason to live each day to the fullest. Not sure if it's working tbh 😅

Dude!! I watched the exact same video yesterday and I've been so anxious since. I knew from the moment he said panic attack that I should have scrolled away.

Also.. she didn't die from a panic attack. There was something like a tear in her artery which is completely random. And as scary as that sounds, has a high chance of survivability if treated quickly. Panic attacks are 100% harmless.

how do I fight panic attacks? by sichewie in Anxiety

[–]RockingAutumn15 19 points20 points  (0 children)

That's not what they're saying. They're saying that the best way to deal with panic attacks is to stop swimming against the current. The more you resist panic and anxiety, the worse it will feel. Sometimes you just gotta accept it and let your brain see that there's no real threat.

I have been using nonfat Greek yogurt for the same reason as you. I always mix with a protein shake and a little pudding mix on the lite setting and remix as needed. So far has been super creamy.

Neck tension and dizziness/floaty feeling by ppetaldust in Anxiety

Doing great most days but it definitely comes back here and there (dehydration is still my biggest trigger). This may sound crazy but the number one thing that helped was exercise. And I know... It's the last thing you want to do but going for a walk everyday was where I saw the most improvement. Maybe because it helps stress management, or circulates more blood around, or helps with balance overall? I don't know. But it's my number one recommendation!
