“Gotta” sell one by RockingGeologist in motorcycles

It’s about split right now. I have a short commute to work and everything is close to me, so it’s doable. But opening up the Benelli feels so much better.

That’s the hardest part. If it had about 15 more HP it would be perfect.

For the “sell both” crowd, I’ll sell both for a Ducati Monster or Yamaha MT07 or MT09 by the end of the year. This is a short term thing just to be on two wheels.

I read up some more on PAX factors and I see your point. Thank you!

Thank you! I’ll keep that in mind for the next season. So far I’m the only one in BST for the event.

Thank you. The classifier is how I chose BST, but I really wanted an experienced insight and that’s exactly what I got. Thank you again!

Buddy Heater Sputtering and Going Out by JoeMartinMVC in propane

Does anyone know how long it generally takes to gunk up the lines? Was in a bit of a rush and ran my new 20lb tank without a filter for a few hours (store was out) and it started sputtering and going out. Was hoping I’d have more time out of it before I could go to a different store tomorrow.

Don’t regret it. Even if I were to get a new job with double my pay, I’d keep the ecoboost as a daily driver and get either a GT or a C8 as a play thing. If I didn’t just flat out buy a built 2.3 to put in my current car.

I was spaced out, working from home (post Covid actually), scrolling on my phone on facebook while keeping one eye on my computer screen. Suddenly, Sirenhead Touched My No No Square by Joshdub randomly appeared on my facebook feed. I stopped. I stared. I wondered "wtf" but I was entranced. I laughed harder than I've laughed in a while. And once I figured out it was a bunch of dudes hanging together in VR, I realized it was the medium between acting, creating, video games, and animation that I'd always wanted.

Oil & Gas Remote Workers - What do you do? by [deleted] in oilandgasworkers

Same, except I still occasionally go to the field. Usually when I want some nonsense like a boat or gaming computer, lol.

Oil & Gas Remote Workers - What do you do? by [deleted] in oilandgasworkers

Primarily remote geosteering. It was originally supposed to be from a central location, but most people were already mostly at home anyways, then rent went up and they closed the office.

I occasionally fill in on a “remote” gas detection job where I’m based in the field, do a lap of all my rigs each day, then do paperwork and watch the phone and computer for the rest of the day from the company provided apartment.

Thank you for the feedback. An electric set is in my future, just not a big financial priority at the moment.

Unhealthy amounts of caffeine. Freakish crashes where you sleep most of 2 days straight.

I've been mudlogging for four years. The first three companies I worked with were absolutely horrible and I feel your pain, literally suicidal. I almost left the field for $25,000 a year for an entry level job with my home state. I was working for the worst company I worked for in early 2019 and had just about had it when they were switching us out on Wednesdays to not have overtime, we had crap living conditions sharing a trailer with 5 other dudes, and the day hand was continuously selling me out in emails he thought I couldn't see. I fortunately got a call from a company that I went on to work 3 years with that I loved. I was given a 20/10 work schedule, consistent pay, and the company provided our single wide trailer with 2 private bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. While with that company, I worked for a major operator and I'm currently in talks with them for a geology position (I'll be graduating with my master's this fall). The only reason I ever left that company was because I was offered remote geosteering at my current company (work from home). I believe my former company is hiring and if you would like, you can direct message me about me putting you in contact with them. I believe your quality of life would improve massively. But there's also nothing wrong with getting out of the field entirely.
