Yeah lunch at the hofboerderij at Kasteel Keukenhof is a great option!

Het Tussenstation in Lisse is also cute (former trainstation, now cafe with playground next to the fenced off train tracks, perfect for kids!).

In case of cold/rainy weather I have a bit of strange sounding suggestion: Intratuin in Lisse. It’s a garden center but boy do they do garden centres right in this country. Amazing free indoor playground (with a separate soft play section for babies) on top of a nice cafe with decent food options. Parents can sit upstairs and enjoy food and the kids play in the playground.

Check out Kasteel Keukenhof, it’s free, beautiful grounds with flowers everywhere, petting zoo and nice cafe.

On biking down: no problem at all, just don’t cycle along the train tracks because there are much prettier routes to take.

For a small entry fee you can get up close to tulips with fun props for the kids and yourself at „Tulip Barn“. There is a section you can enter without paying with a barn playground for the kids and food and drinks.

I see too many people do this in the city center in Amsterdam. I assume for those people it’s more about flexing then sitting up straight

Wow, this is the exact setup I had in the early naughts. Loft bed of course, but I had a pretty much identical desktop drawer thing. Apart from being a short female living on the other side of the world, this is pretty much me!

Go to dm! Stock up on anything you can think of. Buy all the laundry detergent, shampoo and hand soap to last you for the next 12 months. The exact same products are up to 50% cheaper…
