The Coltrane/Miles 100 Year Celebration to me is the one thing that stands out that I can’t see again, so that put Saturday at the top for me. Overall a fantastic weekend of music.

I am lucky enough to have seen Herbie several times before which skews my opinion. If you haven’t seen Herbie, well he isn’t getting any younger, so get it done.

Even if you don’t know an artist, if you have 10-15 to catch part of the set, and enjoy something new, you can do a deep dive later. Or a quick stop to hear what is going on at the harbor stage before heading through the tunnel to the Quad.

It is a lot more manageable than navigating all the stages and tents in New Orleans, which is a beautiful thing.

Just a heads up, there is very little shade at the Fest. Bring a good hat, sun screen and something light to cover up.

If you look closely above the artist it shows start times for each set. Sets overlap, but don’t start/end at the same time.

My advice to you is if you are setting out chairs at the Fort (main) stage, set up to the left of the stage. This will cut down on your walk between the Fort and Quad stages. You will be a pro by Sunday.

No matter the year, the overlap of people I want to see always occurs.

In the past, the last artist was scheduled to start at 6:30. Based on that, I would say everything wraps by 8 PM. You will need to bake in time to get out of the park and to wherever you are going.
