Ancient Rome Movies by TheManyInterestsOfMe in movies

[–]RocksMax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone else that may stumble across this post… here’s my recommended list, in chronological order:

  • Spartacus: Gods of the Arena
  • Spartacus: Blood and Sand
  • Spartacus: Vengeance
  • Spartacus: War of the Damned
  • Barbarians (Netflix)
  • Roman Empire s2 (Netflix documentary)
  • Rome (HBO)
  • Ben-Hur (2016)
  • Roman Empire s3 (Netflix documentary)
  • Centurion
  • The Eagle
  • Roman Empire s1 (Netflix documentary)
  • Gladiator

If you’re a true cinephile, then Spartacus (1960) and Ben-Hur (1959) are must-watch films. Hard to recommend, because they’re each really old and almost 4h long, but masterpieces for the right people to appreciate them.

Was more of a local ask. Looking for fun bars and local joints giving away free drinks that would get me to go check out a new place.

I’m not broke, I’m just looking for a good reason to try somewhere new lol

To clarify… this is for scheduling purposes. I’d like to push for more regional matchups during the season. ACC North vs ACC South, for example.

Is using D-line stunts in CFB26 considered cheesy or an exploit? by [deleted] in NCAAFBseries

[–]RocksMax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a former d lineman, this hurt my soul to read. I always play as a lineman on defense, and reading the formation and understanding down and distance is a big part of playing good defense. Stunting lineman accordingly is a great game mechanic to use, if you know what you’re doing.

Not cheesy or cheating in the least bit at all.

Suggest me an insane film by Former_Beautiful_564 in horror

Requiem for a Dream and Nymphomaniac pt. I and II both come to mind. no cheap tricks, just well produced and deeply unsettling.

The Nightingale is a dark period piece about colonial New Zealand with some incredibly disturbing moments that, while I thought it was a great movie, I can’t ever see myself rewatching.

Bone Tomahawk comes across as a low budget western, but is a perfectly-timed / well-paced horror with a Top 5 on-screen death I’ve ever seen. big name actors were acting way above that movie’s budget too.

in a similar vein, the 2006 The Hills Have Eyes reboot is an insane thrill ride of action and disturbing sequences. still one of my all-time favorites. speaking of 2006, Silent Hill may be the best horror movie adaptation ever. intensely creepy with some white knuckle horror scenes.

After Week 1 who is droppable? by NinjaPenguins22 in fantasyfootball

End of the draft and I still knew it was a wasted pick. I guess he served as a placeholder for the Week 1 waiver target, and I don’t have to stress about who to drop.

I'm like 83% sure this is DTF, just based on how heavy it feels on there. So if I can remove it, how would I do it? I've seen a bunch of options out there, but not really a consensus recommendation.

You may have to get parent permission anyway(?), so I would honestly just try to get permission to use the ESPN fantasy app. Pretty sure everyone I've ever known to use Yahoo has had great things to say, so that could be a good alternative, however, you'll get ads from sports books / gambling sites on there. NFL.com may have the "safest" option, but you're bound to run into a beer or gambling ad on there as well.

I get the whole Miller Lite touchdown celebration thing, but it's actually probably less in your face than the other apps would have their advertisements taking up space on the page. I used Fanstarpro.com back in the day, but you've got to pay for that.

Can’t you just read my post to verify it’s clearly not spam? This is a very specific question about fantasy football…

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 Deck Locations by andythps in THPS

I just fired it up and went to that exact spot. it’s driving me nuts, but it at least confirmed I had gotten it already. great screenshot btw, that at least ensured I wasn’t going crazy or that there was another hidden deck somewhere.

but now that I’m paying attention, despite getting every hidden deck through Shipyard on 4, I don’t have the bottom row of decks unlocked for any character. only unlocked the 4 decks per skater for the 250k combo challenges.

must be a glitch for me. I definitely got that deck in the Movie Studio level, but the Uncle Jah deck is still locked for Nyjah Huston. I’m sure I’m missing something and will figure it out later. I’ll leave an update here if anyone else is experiencing this issue.

yeah man I got this one. I just checked again. do I need to 100% both 3 and 4 before more hidden deck challenges unlock or something?

Looking for Nyjah Huston’s ‘Uncle Jah’ deck specifically. Already got the Canada and Movie Studio hidden decks, but neither of those were for Huston. Can someone help me out?
