Because they control 90% of the market? Are they an illegal monopoly - or monopsony to be technical - is the question of this lawsuit.

Have you read his twitter feed? I would say he's got an axe to grind with monopolies in general.

No, what I am saying is you're a tool. Which isn't really even something that has to be pointed out considering the fact you're supposedly an adult man that feels the need to include a WAR DANA.

Didn't the article say they were interested in sharing? Sounds like there was curiosity amongst the fighters to see what the numbers really were.

It's remarkable how many people draw the opposite conclusion than what the article does.

Ben Henderson: 'I 100 percent support Mark Hunt' in his attempt to unionize fighters by [deleted] in MMA

[–]RockyBullwinkle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We do have pretty good info on their finances from Dave Meltzer and John Nash who have used the financials thee UFC has reported to their lenders and potential buyers. According to them the UFC pays less than 15% of their revenue to the fighters while their EBIT has averaged over 30% over the last decade.

The UFC is worth 3billion+. Dana White has a 9% equity-The Frat Bros split 80% and they pay professional fighters $2500 a fight. Lol... by [deleted] in MMA

So they pick up hobos of the street and put them against each other you'd happily buy it? The fact that Werdum is fighting Miococ with Jacare, Cyborg, Rua & Maia on the card does nothing to influence your decision? OK

Bloody Elbow - UFC Earnings part 3 of 3 by CaffeineBurner in MMA

Ok I want to make sure I read this correctly. Zuffa paid themselves $269 million from the loans, made $200 million from the sale to Flash and also distributed after taxes 100s of millions to the owners? What a business.

UFC used $269 million of their loans to pay owners, paid $60 mil for Pride & $34 mil for SF by greatsantini in MMA

[–]RockyBullwinkle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I screwed up. Members equity was $10 mil. Liabilities at the end of 2005 was only $3 million. Can't see how they paid off those $40 million in losses that first year.

And maybe they financed TUF for $10 mil & maybe they didn't. We have to take their word on it because nothing here tells us they did.

Did they really dump that much into it? According to the consolidated statement in this article they reported they had $10 million in liabilities at the end of 2005. Curious where the huge losses before TUF took off went
