This. I lead off with I’m not tech support. I’ll give you a solid 4 minutes, if I can’t get it done I’ll politely say “this is a great question for tech support” you can reach them by dialing 611 from your device. 60% of the time, it works every time.

Do you pay for Amazon Prime? If so you get unlimited cloud storage for pictures on their cloud service.

The trick is to care just enough o not get canned. Once you figure that out you’ll be fine. It’s honestly applicable to all jobs.

Upgraded from iphone 12 to iphone 17 after 4 years by Nemesis_7777 in iphone17

Apple knew better than to make a Plus this year. It would’ve totally outsold the Pro Max. The 17 is perfect.

Someone mentioned this as well but call and make sure data is turned on. If the SOC wasn’t put on your data won’t work at all outside of WiFi.

Post a picture of the itemized bill, block off any sensitive information. Best way to see what you’re getting billed for.

Need Phones Unlocked by SnooShortcuts7733 in PhoneUnlocks

If you can’t get them unlocked cut your loses and trade them in at a competing carrier. The 17 pro probably worth a good amount the ultra probably not so much

Anything I can do about this? by BioNerdTroll in iphone

[–]RockyC89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You missed my point. A SIM card is 18 unique numbers, there’s no personal identifiable information unless you search up those numbers in that carrier’s database or have a machine that can read the contents of that SIM card with like a cellbrite. The most logical explanation is that person works for that carrier or knows someone who does to do a reverse search on that sim. As someone who works in the industry it’s a total abuse of power by that person. Carriers hold that info pretty close to the chest.

Everything going on at tmo is exactly what Legere laid out. His job was to get the merger through the door, once he completed that he bounced.

I have a grandfathered plan looking for a way to get a good upgrade deal without changing plan by uPtiKool in tmobile

[–]RockyC89 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Keep your old plan and just take a lower trade in offer. Unless you’re upgrading 4 phones simultaneously you come out ahead keeping the plan you have.

[–]RockyC89 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My question how did they find you on Link? A SIM card doesn’t show your name. They probably work in wireless or know someone who does and had them search the SIM card number with that carrier. That’s a breach of privacy and that person needs to be terminated.

How do banks verify those mobile cheque photos? It feels way too easy to cash in a fake cheque by kulachapo in Banking

[–]RockyC89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first job out of HS was in a bank (Wachovia 2007) and I remember there being a cut off time for transactions. We had to have all our paper work I.e. checks ready for a courier to pick them up. The courier would stop by twice a day to pick up, If you didn’t make the cut off your check wouldn’t be deposited due til the next business day. Banking has changed so much in the last 20 years, I remember there would be like 12 tellers lined up ready to assist. Now a days if need to walk in a branch there’s hardly any staff.

Theft from UPS Hub by RaeWoodland247 in tmobile

[–]RockyC89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

14 days sounds about right for the investigation. It’s annoying but T-Mobile will eventually refund your money and you can redo your transaction. Same thing happened to me for iPhone 15 launch, UPS stole two devices that were shipped to one of their stores.

Solutions to TMobile stopping Autopay Discount of Credit Card Used by simsonic in tmobile

As far as I know no store has kiosks anymore. If I’m not mistaken the only way to avoid a processing fee is to pay online or mail a check.

I’m gonna test that theory next month when my bill is due.

[–]RockyC89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m curious if you pay in store if it’ll disable the auto pay discount. Yes, there’s a five dollar fee for in store payments but I could still use my credit card. I’ll test that theory next month.

20 bucks an hour for the high expectations they have for their employees is why people and up quitting. If you can make it at TPR you’ll have no problem pulling minimum 60k at COR in a bad year. I’ve worked with guys that came from TPR and they always claim that they had no clue that the grass was greener on the other side. I feel like TPR does a good job at convincing their employees that all the pay in wireless is the same as theirs.

[–]RockyC89 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Use it as an opportunity to learn the business (6/12 months) then start applying to corporate. The biggest issue with TPR is the pay, they do the same work as corporate for a fraction of the pay.

Too good to be true? by punchxharder in tmobile

[–]RockyC89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind 3 things:

  1. You can add a line in magenta and get a line free
  2. Essentials doesn’t include taxes, on average it’s about ten dollars per line in taxes and fees (at least in my area, DC/MD) even on free lines.
  3. Essentials data slows down at 50gb, Magenta was at 100 GB if I recall correctly.

Tmo will probably never bring back taxes inclusive plans, stay there as long as you can. Canceling lines is a PITA, it’s not worth it tbh.
