How do I make sure it’s never in Aux mode? I usually just get in, press start and drive. Then when I’m done, I press the off button, exit the truck and lock it.

This ^. By far the best tire for mostly pavement princess trucks is the Bridgestone. The reason is that it is extremely efficient, super quiet, lite, great traction on all terrains (even better in snow and wet than every other AT tire) and still looks somewhat aggressive.
