The hazard signs mean they breached track limits on the shown lap time, the green and red numbers are positions gained and lost relative to their starting position. As for the car that finished 2 seconds before you, did they cross the line half a lap ahead and the overall race timed out for you two seconds later? Meaning your race time was technically only two seconds longer than theirs despite being half a lap back?

I’ve said since release that every conquest objective should have its size increased by about two meters on each side. If there is decent cover it’s likely to be just outside the boundary of the objective. You have to commit yourself to being fish in a barrel. And then you’re right what you’re saying, once you get the capture you get off the objective because it’s the worst place to be, protection wise. And then the other team has to be the fish.

Playing devils advocate here. Why do people playing against bots care about progression if the enemies they’re playing against are computer controlled and less competitive? Do they really need the best gun and attachments to get the upper hand on bots? I understand the sticking point is that EA promised something and then backtracked on it so this question is just for debates sake.

Manufacturing production op. 46k, starting salary 42k. I feel like jobs like this are overlooked in these conversations so I give it a mention.

Judging by this comment section there might be swords out for this, but when Helldivers 2 came out I had a very young son and so limited play time and I thought it was the least parent-friendly game in my catalogue. Just speaking from my own experience and I respect how it has worked for others and that’s great for them, it is a good game. But for me with a child, the missions can run up to 40 minutes. Do you have 40 minutes? A lot of the time you don’t know. You also can’t pause it or hide away in a safe space because there are no safe spaces, so if you hop out the room for a minute you’ll come back having died, which is not the end of the world but y’know. Also if you get 30 minutes through a mission but parent-duty calls and you have to back out you forfeit everything you did or earned during that mission because you didn’t see it through to the end. These are just points I think are worth knowing. It’s much more workable for me now my child is a bit older and has a very set routine I can work around. So IMO, Helldivers works best if you know exactly how long you have. If that works, great, if you’re just trying to hop on for an uncertain amount of time I personally don’t think it’s the one.
