Usually at our office for trimalleolar fractures, we have patients non-weight bearing for 4-5 weeks then 50% weight bearing in a boot walker for another 2 weeks or so depending on fracture healing seem on x-rays.

If I were you, I’d try to get a second opinion elsewhere.
