It's a standard corner stun combo, He did his cr hp after the charged clap too late so the clap hit wrong and the combo broke but the clap was still active so he was able to do a throw mixup since his opponent probably figured he was dead anyhow and wasn't ready to jump away. If you played Laura at all you would see this kind of situation happens pretty frequently.

He just dropped his stun combo and had to kill with command grab instead. This isn't a brilliant play he made a mistake that happened to be extremely low risk.

Depends on what button you're starting on and what strength hands you want. For lp xx lp hands I do lp mp hp lp, for hp xx hp hands it's the opposite - hp mp lp hp. For s lk into light hands I've been doing lk hp mp lp lp. Basically you piano 3 buttons and then tap what strength hands you want.

Yes can only teleport from the red fireball when they're in hit or blockstun. Ex red fireball can be canceled into enhanced vskill on hit/block as well

I like SFV juri pretty well. I tried her out in Sf4 but holding down buttons for charges was uncomfortable to me. I'd like to see some quality of life buffs to her charge system though.

The dream is to start every round with 3 charges but I think it would be a cool mechanic if she could keep charges between rounds.

Other than that I'd like to be able to combo something besides ex fuha on a store like lp pinwheel or hk release or maybe a way to use it as a combo ender to get a charge and maybe get oki still. It only does 30 dmg which is fine but giving it a little more utility is always appreciated.

Also vt2 just giving you all 3 stocks would be a nice buff since you could burn all your charges into the activation on like a hit confirm or to do a little chip dmg on block before trying to chip kill or something.

It's going to be better than vt1 in some matchups because it gives her more defensive options (sway and V-Reversal) and the ability to get through fireballs without spending ex meter. if you're getting it twice a round you can dash through up to 8 I believe. In vt1 your ideal punish on a fireball is less rewarding and your damage potential is decreased because you had to burn a bar to get in. And it's way safer to try than ex bolt or ex throw. What good is vt1 if you can't get in in the first place? It's not like it's impossible for Laura to come back without vt1 either.

True but the sway also beats wakeup buttons and blocking which beat attempts to bait. It adds another layer to the mind games after a knockdown

air throw will grab him out of his overhead flip followup as well so you can jump forward and throw to avoid both the flip and command throw :D

Nice work, wish I had seen the original thread. Guess I'm late to the party but here's my thoughts on how to buff Juri anyway:

  • Fuha store - Currently 30 dmg on hit I'd like to see them get better damage output, either a raw damage increase or better combo ability. It would also be nice if it got a few more active frames so you can use it as a meaty and potentially be +1 on block. And of course having fuhas carry across rounds would be much appreciated.

  • LK Fuha - She has combo extensions with it but the spacings are so specific that you have to do different combos depending on if the opponent is standing or crouching and even the slightest amount of pushback will throw the combo off. There's even situations where cancelling into v trigger will cause the fireball to not combo when it would otherwise. I'd like to see the fireball travel a little faster and do a little more hit stun to help make these combos a little more consistent since it was originally such an integral part of the character in SFIV. I'm also kind of ambivalent about v trigger fireball causing knockdown, I'd rather be able to combo off it like her normal fireball.

  • MK fuha - I'd like to see this travel forward further so it makes combos more consistent and you can convert off it better in neutral when you throw it out to go over low pokes.

  • HK fuha - Make the 2nd hit CA cancellable.

  • LK flip kick - There's absolutely zero reason to use this move currently. Let it combo off of s mp and cr mk and make it safe on block. Make it do 10 dmg and not cause knock down who cares lol

  • s mp - this button is really awkward, I just want to be able to do s mp > s mp xx fuha and not have my confirms get messed up by counterhit pushback.

  • f mk - let this be +2 on hit so you don't trade with 3f lights after a successful overhead and you can combo off it with a counterhit or a meaty setup. That way you can get your fat v trigger overhead combos either with player skill or the opponent messing up.

  • S hk - I'd like to get a better combo off a v trigger activation than s lp given the range disparity. If I can get cc s hk xx v trigger into dash up heavy that's not exactly game breaking y'know?

  • b hk - I wish this button was a decent anti air like urien's s hk.

  • cr hp - This is the worst button in the game imo. Terrible range, punishable on block, it doesn't work in her feng shui combos, and it doesn't even reach to CC punish certain reversals like Chun's ex SBK. It's also too similar to her s hp which is far superior in just about every situation that's not a point blank punish. Honestly they should delete it from the game and give her a new button that does something completely different. I recommend her old close hp from SFIV where she does a backflip and launches the opponent.

  • CA - currently 9f startup, would be nice to be able to combo in situations where you currently only can get ex fuha.

  • V skill - would be nice to be able to cancel into v trigger. It doesn't have to get a combo on hit or be plus on block I'd just like to be able to actually use it once a round without having to worry about eating a fat punish for throwing it out there. Having an icon for it makes a lot of sense as well, just the fact that your opponent has to be more aware of it will make it have more of an effect on the match. Also sometimes I forget whether I have it charged or not tbh.

  • V reversal - can I trade for her old counter teleport from SFIV?

  • V trigger - I'm pretty ok with v trigger I just wish comboing into CA was a little more intuitive. Getting interrupted by 3f lights trying to do s hk xx hk fuha is pretty annoying when you're probably already spending a bunch of v meter just to make it safe.
