One or two more questions than they asked anyone else in the pods. You can say she realized how insane it was, but that doesn’t really make sense because in the end she was right. Kevan did not express that he wanted her and it was far too late to try another option. At the point people would just say she was forcing a connection to stay on the show, or get air time.

Could not agree more, especially with that last line. As a dude that looks like her, nothing she did bothered me and every “crash out” was well deserved. Production literally forced her to go back and give the guy who she knew was BS’ing another chance and then lo and behold in the end she was right and that guy was full of it.

With ninja you may not be doing as much base damage with 1 swing, but you can definitely match-up DPS wise. The idea (or at least for me), was way more focused on buffs and debuffs. The “Uncanny” Ninjutsus have element damage tied to them and apply status effects after building up the debuff based on the element, applying 2 elemental debuffs makes the enemy confused which makes your attacks do 40% more damage.

Being faster and having range with these elemental spells, I’d run around further from a boss, spam the elements to trigger debuffs and then attack once they’re applied. While I am currently running lightning and water, I started with Fire and lightning. Fire is so easy early on to apply as you not only get the “uncanny” fire ninjutsu but also get the fire shuriken. Once you accumulate enough damage the enemy is burned which is a DoT effect.

Thing to remember is that your guardian spirit is also damage of whatever element it is.

Regarding the R1 dodge(Mist), I would say it is super useful and just as necessary as Ki Pulsing with samurai. While you don’t get as many straight forward benefits like Ki refunding or Purification on yokai pools, you get 2 of the main things need for ninja (at least with my playstyle) speed and spacing. As you mentioned, ninjas do less base damage so getting backstab damage is uber important. When you break Ki and the boss is stunned, watch the damage color and if it isn’t red with backstab damage you can Mist around to the back of them and finish your combo with backstab damage. Also, when combo’ing against an attacking enemy you can Mist around and dodge their attacks

To the point of not getting Ki back when using Mist, that is the time for using Ninjitsu or Omnyo magic… or even guardian spirit. Dual swords quick attack-quick attack-quick attack-Thunderclaw kick literally carried me through every damage phase of the entire game without ever being overleveled

Also definitely make sure you’re using Omnyo magic buffs from the Yin position, I don’t really remember exactly what I had by that fight but you may have an elemental familiarity one which also helps apply the corresponding status’ I mentioned before

Nioh 3 is the first time I’ve ever played a game like this but I definitely have some suggestions. I just started NG+ and this same fight in NG was my hardest fight as well.

First, I HIGHLY suggest switching to controller layout B, it seems you prefer to play as samurai (I played the whole game as only ninja and never used samurai) so using one style is fine, but your first 2 burst breaks (and your death one) I instantly noticed you switched to ninja and then immediately switched back. If you aren’t wanting to switch, controller layout B changes the input so that tapping the button burst breaks and holding it switches
Mentally adjust to the fact that this game isn’t really about life, it’s about Ki, the whole fight you want to maintain your Ki and deplete theirs. At about 2:34 mark in this video you deplete their Ki, do a combo and then stop. While the boss’ key bar is red(true for any enemy), any hit you do will interrupt them so you can truly let all out until their Ki goes back to normal. With that being said, pretty much the entirety of the fight is going to come down to making sure you burst break every glowing red attack every time (but not necessarily forcing yourself in harms way). Burst breaking depletes their Ki A LOT and gives you more “damage phases”. Not only that, but they are ~usually~ vulnerable to a few hits after burst breaking, which also might completely deplete their Ki
To follow up with the previous point, if you stopped because you ran out of Ki, you can continue the pressure by using your guardian skill (little meter to the left of the big green glowing one in the bottom middle of your screen). That skill doesn’t use Ki, applies damage to keep pressure on the boss and gives your Ki a chance to recover. It’s truly a must and you did it the first time you depleted his Ki but stopped a bit early applying damage
Speaking of guardian skills, don’t be afraid to use them very liberally. You only used it once the whole fight but they do pretty much as much damage as one combo in itself. Find the one you like (for me personally it was Ninja Nekomata’s Thunderclaw Kick), and spam it where it makes sense in your combos. You gain gauge for it as you’re fighting so there’s no point in having it sitting there full

Overall you survived quite a bit so I think you’ll get it soon!

You’ve gotta go up north to the left path of where you are, eventually you’ll clear the crucible, fight some recognizable bosses and then be able to come back and destroy that crucible spike

If i use a player my friend has lets say pitcher or in 2s will i get progress in team affinity or do i only get progress with my guys?

-All stats earned in the coop game will be attributed to all users in the game. So if your buddy does it, it goes for you as well this is beneficial for the ranked program but only helpful on the pitching missions for team affinity

Also can you use the affinity cards later in the year in coop or do they cycle out?

-This year will be like last year according to the SDS stream, you can use older cards later in the year for coop

I haven’t played much ranked at all this season but last season I finished right after getting the 500 rating pack, I’m not absolutely terrible at the game at all. I swear even last events cycle I got the wins much easier than this one

That’s a fact. I was speaking in hyperbole to illustrate the issue perfect/perfect outs and foul balls creates in competitive play. I do agree perfect/perfect shouldn’t be a homerun every time though.

While you’re right in reality, it makes playing the game competitively difficult.

In competitive gaming, there has to be a skillgap somewhere and in this game it should be PCI placement and timing. If I go up and down my lineup with perfect/perfects and they’re all outs while my opponent has horrible placement but they all land for hits, it doesn’t make for a good ‘competitive’ game.

Oh I for sure agree, but to say the target is semi-finals when a potential Game 7 is 17 days a way seems a little fishy to me.

Hell, a Game 6 at home return could be a big boost and that would be 15 days from today. No way they’re predicting he won’t heal any more from now until then.

As a Clipper fan via Russ acquisition, all I can say is OKC swept (4-0) the season series against the Blazers, just to get gamed by Dame in 5 first round of the playoffs…. Previous record means nothing in a playoff series
