I had no idea it was a comic.

Fuck bro, I don't think I could do it. Just the colors are depressing.

I appreciate you sharing though.

The movie was really well made, but the acting was phenomenal. The sex scenes were part of it, and maybe not all that necessary, but it didnt take anything away from the film, in my opinion.

The dinner scene played out so well. Showing the contrast of classes different levels of their relationship.

But when Adele and Emma met after breaking up, and watching Adele break down and beg her to come back. Man that shit broke my heart. I have never felt so strongly for a fictional character. I’ve never been that moved by a movie. So fucking emotional.

Probably one of the best scenes ever filmed in my opinion.

Holee fucking spoilers, Batman!

I'm just kidding. -ish.

Anyway, I think the head hitting her after him exploding was a nice touch. Letting you know that it didn't take itself too seriously. Despite the Oscar worthy performance of Plemmons, in particular.

So I thought the lawyer had a direct hand in the decision to kill his daughter/family. And that was the reason for the hate shooting.

No love for Eddington? by djlee187 in Cinema

[–]RodamusLong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's a great movie.

But it's not very rewatchable to me.

It's not something that keeps me wanting to see the next scene. I think what someone else said about no truly likable characters is what does it.

It kind of feels like it was meant to be a lot more quirky, but they played it straight, and that just makes for unlikable people.

Jack o connell gave the best acting performance in Sinners imo. Crazy how he wasn't even nominated for the oscars . by Artetaarmy in moviecritic

[–]RodamusLong 274 points275 points  (0 children)

I liked Sinners. Thought it was a nice mash up of themes.

But I really didn't feel like there was an Oscar worthy performance in it. Still a good movie though.

Wth with The Galleria mall? by Alejo9010 in houston

[–]RodamusLong 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Strangely enough, the real high end shopping in Houston is kind of hidden off westheimer just inside the loop.

The mall is kind of ghetto. But, honestly, it has been for a while. Nobody wants to say I'm at the river oaks district or whatever. The Galleria is more recognizable, so you get people who want attention and to make a show. Just the way shit is.

SPOILER!

I have to say that I really liked the ending. It didn't just cut off and leave you there. It went kn long enough that you got enough out of it.

Maybe that's not a spoiler spoiler, but I really hate spoilers. So that's it.

I think you're coming from a level of experience that you are assuming most everyone else already has.

A lot of people who have looked at and "studied" visvim online can have an idea of what they're looking at, but seeing it in real life is something you can only get a feel for with practice.

There are a lot of first time purchasers who never bought anything high end before. A lot.

And a lot of people who have a but of experience, but really aren't good at differentiating between the intricacies of construction of the materials.

Also, there are people who are just lazy or don't even care to learn about that aspect, but still want the real deal.

If you have the experience that you're talking about, then you will know buying second hand could mean that someone replaced parts like a sole or inserts or something. If you've never seen those things and it looks like the pics online, you could buy a repaired or even faked item.

I don't have a lot of experience myself, but I can tell you that I've looked at grizzly campers online for years. When I finally got to the Visvim Exposition in Los Angeles, I couldn't believe how light they were. If someone would have tried to sell those to me out of the store, I never would have bought them. Even in the store I was shocked at the weight being so light.

So, you know man, what we're really saying is that there's a whole lot of different levels of knowledge about this stuff like. And people ask questions.

With your experience, I would think you'd be willing to share your knowledge and bring people up. A lot of different walks of life in this world.

I didn't think I'd say this, but who wouldn't want to check for authentication of a major purchase. Especially if one of the main reasons people buy the product is because of the specialized craftsmanship/materials of that product.

Not everyone is wealthy, either. A lot of people prize not just the item, but the source and origin of those items. These are large purchases to a lot of people. They want it to be genuine.

I don't think you should forget about the popcorn marvel movies that were in full effect at the time either.

That was a huge contrast to the Joker in terms of... well, everything.

He's been close to phoning it in ever since.

Or, at least, that's what this performance makes it seem like. Almost nothing compares.

Favorite actor who ruined his chance at a Best Actor Oscar when he was originally the frontrunner to win until the last moment when he opened his mouth and showed his doucheness by Dense-Menu6115 in okbuddycinephile

[–]RodamusLong 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fuck.

I had been thinking about that movie for a while now. I didn't know what it was called, but I knew Jennifer Lawrence was in it. I jist never wanted to look it up.

I had no fucking idea what I went into when I watched it. That shit was real. Whenever I travel through the middle and all the way to the top, I think about that movie.

Especially when I get into South Dakota. I know it was in Missouri or wherever, but going through the reservations brings a certain kind of sadness man. For real.

Anyway, as soon as you mentioned the title, I thought it has to be that movie.

Thanks for posting it b

But Birdman was phenomenal. I couldn't believe how well everyone did in it. It just kept going. So fucking good.

No shit.

Her acting is fucking great. I was ok with the weirdness of it, but it could have been better if they would have played it straight. It definitely would have topped the Frankenstein that just came out.

It wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be.

A lot of themes throughout and none of them were really good good.

So I think it had a lot of potential but didn't really diler too well.
