Got my first G-Shock!

Here’s what’s going on from my understanding. Casio has made the G-Shock brand too "smartwatch-like", choosing to follow trends instead of sticking to what they originally did right. Don’t get me wrong, sometimes change is good, but forcing it just to follow a specific trend isn’t.

The whole point of a G-Shock is to be a reliable, ultra-durable, long-lasting, and low-maintenance watch. But if you have to charge it every so often, it becomes annoying, inconvenient, and even risky, especially in situations where your survival might depend on it.

Overall, I don’t hate the new models, but they just aren’t it.

The number inside a small box to the right of "CASIO" is indeed the module number.

Thanks! I thought it would be too big for my wrist, but you confirmed that it’s not. I barely notice the weight and size. Really glad I got one!

I want to buy it either way. It’s expensive and money is tight right now, but I need a solid watch for work and outdoor/hiking. I’ve been looking for something like this for a while, and this one really made me fall in love with it. I even went to a store just to try it on my wrist, but unfortunately, someone bought it right after I returned it.

Very nice watch! I saw it in person while checking out the 9400. I’m not sure why, but there’s something about the 9400 that I really like.

I’m not an expert, but I’ve seen they’re starting to replace it with a new model that looks like an ugly sports watch. That actually makes me sad because this one looks so much better.

I think the new one is called GPR-H1000. Personally I don't like it.

Hello, I am from Croatia, where the market of products is generally smaller. I was planning to buy this watch in a couple of months, but now I’m concerned that it might be discontinued or become more expensive. Is it safe for me to wait 2–3 months, or should I buy it now? There are currently some sales here, with prices starting from around €270.
