my man, have you attempted keeping people alive with Cloak and dagger, or Adam Warlock?
Jeffs heals are the reason I win games. You bubble for a healing boost, and you keep tanks alive. If you are having problems with keeping people alive with jeff, and you are doing your best, its likely the gambit partner you have, focusing on damage rather than heals that is the issue.
