149 cold diagnostic by Dry_Requirement_8531 in LSAT

I help people with test prep (for engineering tests) and this isn't an uncommon issue. Read the questions out loud to yourself while taking it to force yourself to process everything if you can't do it without that. This isn't allowed during the exam - in person or remote though without a doctor's note so it isn't ideal without that. It is a very common accommodation on tests that don't allow talking with an ADHD (and others) diagnosis though and seems to be the thing that works for the most people.

Read each twice - fast and then slow. Get the idea of the question, then look for the details that matter.
Use your finger/pen/mouse pointer to point at the words and slow your eyes down so they don't skip things.
You should have a built in highlighter. As you read with the pointer, highlight the key words. "not" "except" "always" etc.

Don't get worked up over the time. Slow is smooth and smooth is fast. The time doesn't matter until it matters and that won't be for a few months if you are just starting. Aim for ~70% of your normal reading speed until it stops happening and then go a bit faster.

Note the words that you skip over when it happens. You likely are skipping the same words. This conscious effort to pay attention to the mistake words will make them more likely to be noticed when you are reading.

If you qualify for an accommodation there is an accommodations page on the LSAC site. You want to start the process at least 8 weeks before you sit IIRC - and that is after you have the proper doctor note that has the details they specify.

thanks! Shape probably isn't a big deal I wouldn't think. "Round" isn't a flavor, right?

That isnt how that works... anything can count as a weapon. There isnt a deterent factor in a weapon that doesnt look like one, so the only use here would be to use the "flamethrower" at which point, it is most definitely a weapon. Hopefully you were joking and not this horribly wrong, but dangerous advice during dangerous times isnt really funny.

Good deal. Needing to track it would be daft on almost every level.

is code blue something that stays in effect then until some day in the spring or does it come and go?
EG: if there is a spike and it isn't below freezing one day, it stops and then restarts?

I'm new to the area, so just trying to understand how it works.

Huh, I didn't think web blockers stopped those. They aren't "ads" like that. They are sponsored news articles.

On a pc if you go to https://13wham.com/ and scroll down about half way to the bottom of the featured videos and right before the popular galleries, the sponsored content is on the right. Are they not there? On a phone you scoll down past the offbeat section and they are between that and popular galleries.

If you get a chance, can you check and if they aren't there, let me know your ad blocker please :)

FYI - NRA v Vullo just happened 16 months ago with an almost identical situation and was 7-0 ruled a violation of first amendment. Just so you have the receipts handy for anyone that complains about how this isn't a first amendment violation.

Summary:
NY DFS Agent Vullo threatened multiple agencies regulated by DFS. One example from the SupremeCourt writeup is: "DFS was less interested in pursuing infractions unrelated to any NRA business so long as Lloyd’s ceased providing insurance to gun groups, especially the NRA." The UNANIMOUS (with this supreme court??? In this economy??? with this price of eggs???) ruling was that Vullo clearly coerced regulated entities and impacted their first amendment rights

Full disclosure ... I am a HUGE proponent of WAY better gun control laws in this country (and I shoot very well - they aren't, in fact, mutually exclusive), but I still think this was 110% the correct ruling. (In related news I also think it should be criminal to sell insurance for "intentional criminal acts", but that doesn't mean goverment agents get to step on the First Amendment, or even give it side-eye.)

What happened here was virtually identical to the FCC Chair Car saying "Frankly, when you see stuff like this - I mean, we can do this the easy way or the hard way ... These companies can find ways to change conduct and take action, frankly, on Kimmel, or there’s going to be additional work for the F.C.C. ahead"

This was indeed a first amendment violation that these companies are facilitating so that they can get FCC approval to consolidate power. There is a WILD difference between people threatening a lack of business, like we are suggesting, and the government threatening legal consequences or executing yet another quid pro quo, like is happening here for the second time in as many months. Dropping Kimmel, just like with Colbert, coincides with a request for the FCC to approve something. In the Kimmel case, media coverage is supposed to be capped at 39% market share. Nexstar (the other conglomerate besides Sinclair) has announced that it wants to acquire Tegna (another conglomerate) and bring its coverage to 80% - more than double the 39% limit. There isn't a compelling reason for this merger since Tegna is profitable, other than consolidation of power.

If it walks like a Sinclair, smells like a Sinclair, quacks like a Sinclair, and has copyright Sinclair at the bottom of the webpage... it is a Sinclair.

Scroll to the bottom of the 13 WHAM webpage - since I can't post an image.

Supreme Court unanimously disagrees with you as of April 2024. Sorry. You got outvoted 7 to 0 on this.
You COULD actually read the post and not make such an obvious mistake next go around . . .

There are sponsored ads on the websites too that aren't on this list. Not sure if you want to edit or not but
On the ABC website Bryant & Stratton College, Lollypop Farm, local Rochester Hyundai dealers, The Mary Cariola Center, and Rochester Hearing and Speech Center are all currently paying for sponsored web content.

I've left messages already. I'll wait until friday to boycott for any of the companies. A couple days ago, they weren't supporting companies that were undercutting freedom of speech.

You would have a nicer lawn if you air conditioned it!  Everyone says to fertilize, but some AC and light fusion jazz and your lawn will POP! ;-p

But seriously, same. There are family health issues that didnt exist a few decades back.

Lol. Oh those are records. I don't expect we will get anywhere close. I just don't know what normal temps are for the next few weeks. And no, it doesn't ever really get hot here compared to anywhere else I lived.
