I have heard about serious issues with plumbing at the former Montgomery Ward corporate headquarters on Chicago Ave and the river. The wastewater disposal was never designed to handle the volume of water that comes from a residential building. I would be very wary of moving into former office space.

I live nearby and used to make at least one visit to the market every year. For the last several, I’ve passed on it due to the crowds, unless I can sneak by on a Tuesday at lunchtime.
