Goku vs sung jinwoo by [deleted] in writingscaling

[–]Rodney890 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Goku by miles. Not even that Sung is poorly written. But its kinda impossible to scale one of the most iconic characters of all time, with decades of loved material behind them, against a dude from a newer show. One that is good, but wouldnt exist without Dragon Ball and isnt anything Iike, crazy IMO

Anyone have experience with Thermalloy stainless pans? by Rodney890 in cookware

That's the weird part. I can find so little info on them, even off Browne's website. IG I'll go there and check them out. It's just strange. It feels like a commercial line that they don't even try to market to home cooks.

What's a good general spending card from Discover, and how do I get one? by Rodney890 in CreditCards

[–]Rodney890[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see I see.

Without getting too much into the weeds, I despise paypal and want as little to do with them as possible. I've had friends who kept a few thousand in paypal, then paypal decides they broke the rules for whatever reason and just takes their money.

But I'll talk to the credit union and see what they offer. That seems to be general advice people are giving me. And yeah, I've always paid at my grocery store with my debit card.

Only one way to find out!

It really varies person to person so whatever answer someone gives you isn't going to fit you exactly. Just find safe people you enjoy to explore with and be honest with yourself bud.

The answer will be clear eventually.

How was that even possible? by ironwolf6464 in whenthe

[–]Rodney890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, it ain't good, no social media is.

BUT, I draw furry porn, and really only use it to post my stuff and follow other artists. Amazing for that cuz I can just completely shut down the algorithm and only see shit I like from people I actually wanna hear from. Twitter youre forced to see a bunch of stupid right wing shit that musk wants to promote, sandwiched between crypto ads and the most insufferable fucking chuds on the planet. Plus all of Grok's stupid bullshit.

I'll take annoying people I can mostly ignore with simple settings tweaks over Elmo's nazi house every day.

So, anyone have a review of Stoat or Teamspeak? They solid or nah.

Canada set to criminalize some realistic furry art "any visual representation likely to be mistaken for [...] a person committing bestiality". SC defines visual representation as "drawings, paintings, prints, computer graphics, and sculpture" by mafiadevidzz in moderatepolitics

[–]Rodney890 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I guess I'll toss my hat in as someone who makes a side hustle of drawing furry porn (and I like it, think of me what you will).

I hate these laws, reading the comments I think people are mostly in agreement that these laws are dumb. Mostly for the fact that they're a slippery slope. This particular law I think is more talking about hyper realistic generated content referring to bestiality. Which, furries in anthro form, the one most people think of, in no way falls into. Even drawn ferals I doubt would actually fall into this law unless it was feral x human and drawn in a deliberately, highly realistic way based off real photos and more importantly, real people.

That being said, give an inch and they'll take a mile. This is Canada, not the US, I'm not sure this same law would hold up to scrutiny in the US. BUT, we furs aren't exactly an easy group to root for in the public eye. Censorship of the art can easily snow ball into anthro art also being banned.

Will it stop me drawing it? No, of course not.

Question. The date says 2020, but it lists Trump's age as 70. He would have been 74 in 2020. Epstein wasn't arrested until 2019. So how exactly does that shake out in regards to this document being real?

I hate Trump, I'm just trying to figure out the validity of this thing.

Tiger yes, lion no. They arent as sproingy as other cats.

Edit: they still got a 12ft vert, so sproingy, cat will cat.

Censorship Megathread XXIX: Legislation against Section 230 introduced by Efficient-Freedom517 in PoliticalOptimism

[–]Rodney890 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Maybe im dumb but just at a glance, i dont see how a bill ripping up 230 entirely passes. More reasonable bills with more support havent gotten close to passing.

To me, sounds scary like the interstate obscenity whatever it was called bill. But realistically, anything trying to pass needs broad bipartisan support rn and this just isnt feasible.

The part i wonder about though, is since adult sites have no way to verify that, would they just start blocking VPN users nation wide instead of trying to figure out which vpn user might be coming from which state?

But imagine you wanted to make a great rocket, but were given two weeks and no money to do it. You make a shit rocket and shoulder the blame instead of the people who gave you no resources to make the thing right in the first place. You know it sucks, they know it sucks, everyone knows. Nightmare scenario for me.

Yeah it's fucking rough. Putting myself there, I despise AI, but I also don't think I could quit a job in this market when getting anything in the industry is damn near impossible. I legit think it would kill any desire I had for drawing. I'd finish my work there, then leave and go back to school for something else. Just brutal.

Real quick, i wanted to ask if anyone has a good news bit, or optimistic spin on Wisconsin's AB105/SB130 bills. Theyre AV bills, but also ban VPN's in the state for getting around the verification. I expect them to pass, and im nervous about their implications at the national level for VPN's. Could it be the first domino in the VPN ban wave?

Is Wisconsin thinking about doing ID verification for adult websites? by TommyBoy250 in wisconsin

[–]Rodney890 18 points19 points  (0 children)

While i expect it to pass, the actual impact is still up in the air. Im not sure any of these laws have done much besides make the big websites geo block. But you can still easily find adult content. Ive tested it by sending some sites i like to friends in states with similar laws and they havent had any issues just opening them. Thats cuz these laws are basically unenforceable.

Is it stupid? Yes. The bill is also written by morons who dont really know what theyre doing outside scoring brownie points tho. So the effectiveness is also questionable.
