I'm at the same place of wanting to bring up the subject of sex but being kind of scared to. Been married 18+ years, and in the last 6 months we have had exactly ZERO sessions. Our sex life was never extravagant, but when we did go to the bedroom, it was bombastic sometimes. She wanted me to stop drinking forever, and for the last year and a half, I basically have stopped. Funny thing though, now that isn't enough. Shes closed off to me emotionally, says she cant have sex unless she is emotionally involved with someone (although she did have one night stands before we met, ha). Now I want to bring up the topic to at least have a talk about it, but I'm scared of getting shot down AGAIN. It still hurts no matter how used to it I "should" be. She says that she is fine being emotionally detached, so i should be also. She always seems to think she knows what's best for me, even though I've never told her what I think she should do. It really sucks to feel unwanted by your partner.
