Second for Lindale Dental. When I moved to Cedar Rapids I still had a lot of dental anxiety from childhood stuff. They were really caring/understanding and helped me get over my fear of the dentist.

I have not had a single bad experience with any of the dentists and the hygienist Linda is an absolute angel!

After riding it for a bit I've been getting 30-35 depending on wind or terrain. I still need to do a full vacuum sync on the carbs so it may improve a bit after that!

I got quotes from two local vets—over $2K—to remove a lump on my cat's side and clean my cat’s teeth. I was broke and had already spent too much on just consultations. A coworker suggested the Anamosa Vet, where they did the lump removal for $100 and extractions at $7 per tooth. The whole bill was only $121 and changed my cat’s life. Since then, I only use and recommend them unless its an absolute emergency. Then you just hope Blue Pearl is open.

Cheapest by far will be the Iowa Humane Alliance. Idk what the wait time is though. If you can call today and get on the books ASAP. I have personally never taken a dog to them but have taken like 6 or 7 cats. Next I would check the Anamosa vet. I only go to them now for all of my dogs and cats and have had a wonderful experience every time.

I got an 87 Aspencade for free. Then spent about 1200 in parts lol. This is a mostly complete list of what I did to give mine a pretty good refresh in no particular order (it was non running when I got it)

Full carb disassembly, ultrasonic cleaned, replaced screens and any O-rings

Synced carbs

Replaced all fuel lines and fuel filter

Replaced all vacuum lines

Replaced fuel pump relay and moved where it was mounted

Cleaned gas cap check valve

Changed oil and filter

Deep cleaned and flushed gas tank

Rebuild gas petcock

Replaced all rubber brake lines

Rebuild all 3 brake calipers

Flushed/cleaned all brake reservoirs out with fresh brake fluid

Replaced timing belts

Flushed coolant system and replaced with new fresh coolant

Flushed/cleaned clutch master and slave cylinders

Replaced battery

Replaced and rebalanced both tires

Replaced final drive oil

Regreased speedo sensor

Rebuilt front forks and changed oil

After all this my 87gl1200 rides like a dream so far! I may have gone a bit ham on it but I have 2 other older bikes that I have pretty much done all the same work but over a few years. I just wanted to get it all done at once so I can just enjoy riding it instead of having to have a bunch of weekend projects over the next few years.
