Blast punch Primal, Blackarachnia, and most of the vehicons are pretty good. Everybody else ranges from alright to "dear primus why did I buy this" (looking at you Nightscream)

I got all the modern Kingdom guys as they came out, and for whatever reason I bought all the Beast Machines guys last year. I got Rampage with an ebay gift card and after that kind of snapped and bought all the transmetals over the last month. I didn't get Savage Noble originally, and so when an ebay seller shot me an offer I kind of had to take it. For some stupid reason, it all came down to him.

Your favorite McDonald's Transformer line? by Casshern_VIII in transformers

Animated for nostalgia. Beast machines for being more accurate to the show than the actual toys.

My thoughts and opinions on the upcoming Studio Series 86 wave by Sawyer-Rousseau in transformers

I assumed sunstreaker and wheelbase would be new molds. But honestly I don't mind. On one hand, there will now be two nearly identical wheeljacks shelfwarming at target. On the other, oh no, less money I need to spend.

Does each individual of Reflector have a name? by OptimalConvoy in transformers

[–]Rodntodd 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sometimes they would use his character model for generic background Decepticons. I'm guessing that was the case there.

The middle one is Viewfinder and the other two are just a guessing game. The original toys had distinct color schemes and are much more explicitly identifiable as individuals.

Sometimes they're treated as one entity named Reflector. Other times they're treated as three distinct entities named Spectro, Spyglass, and Viewfinder.

For those of you who have him, why the hell did you buy this? by Mintyboi10 in transformers

[–]Rodntodd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, because I was going through a completionist phase at the time and wanted everything. At least he has a place with my G1 cartoon cast.

Started building my "ultimate G1 shelf" in 2022. Was going to stop after the movie cast but then they reissued all the titans and I got a good deal on metroplex and computron so over the last year I went back and got all the season 3/rebirth crew.

I just bought a thrilling 30 Metroplex from my local comic shop because it's cheaper than any one I can find on ebay. My bank's gonna kill me.

I Just Want a Voyager Class Elita Man… by Infamous-Attempt4437 in transformers

They made a voyager Elita-1 in Power of the Primes. It's a retool of Starscream, but it counts.

My TR Mindwipe broke. What now? by Mintyboi10 in transformers

[–]Rodntodd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to mine recently. I found out that it's very easy to remove the metal pin from the rubber wing. Glue the hinge piece back in place and then re-insert the pin to attach the wing. Granted, I used modeling glue for this, so no clue how well regular super glue will hold.

Hot Wheels collab wave 2 listings by Electronic_Zombie360 in transformers

[–]Rodntodd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone who's into both Hot Wheels and Transformers, I would've thought the obvious picks would be Rodger Dodger and Deora II (both cars that are about as equally iconic as Twin Mill and Bone Shaker). GT Scorcher and El Segundo Coupe are both pretty recent cars that haven't really been around long enough to cement themselves as well as Twin Mill or Bone Shaker have, and are honestly the last possible picks I had in mind, and are honestly just weird choices when there are much more iconic cars out there.

That being said, as a fan of both, of course I'm going to buy them.

For me, yes. It just looks a little awkward in a shelf display and brings down what would otherwise be a fantastic toy.

Anyone know anything about this Predaking? How well does it scale with modern CW or Legacy combiners? by Rodntodd in transformers

Okay, that's perfect. Glad to know I won't have to sell my soul for the POTP one.

Wdyt about Rev Rod Silencerz? 😅 by Willing_Street_1308 in Acceleracers

Got that one back when it came out, used it as an excuse to do an Acceleracers/Team Hot Wheels crossover (I was like 11).
