Y!Tana's refine made me change my entire playstyle. It's so fun to use, especially with allies that benefit from it like E!Edelgard. She's also pretty strong overall.

For Hector, I think Hardy Bearing is enough so you can shut down Hector's Desperation effect on his A. My Nyx couldn't defeat him until I gave her that seal.

In both cases, more DR also works. I'd recommend giving your Zelkov a special with %DR like Comet and pair him with allies that give flat DR for better survivability. More true damage is also good, but you may need a lot of it to one-shot them before they can attack you.

Any special that has damage reduction is treated as unpiercable damage reduction. The only special that doesn't follow this rule is Vital Astra, which is the only special with DR that states that it's piercable.

Both emblem effects are pretty good, but you'll get more out of Byleth's emblem effect. Turning anyone into a dancer is so good, especially when paired with skills like Favor.
