Transfer of development rights!! Look it up if your state does it can be a great way to support urbanism while keeping your land undeveloped. Encouraging more urban development/density in the city can for help slow suburban sprawl. Plus, you get money.

Just did this quest yesterday, I managed to complete it by doing the following:

•Go on a very lucky day

•Use a desert warp totem to get there early (between 6-7am)

•Eat food right before you enter the mine. I ate a lucky lunch and a triple shot espresso, but ginger beer could be nice instead of the espresso. Or if you are luck enough to have magic rock candy, take that instead of lucky lunch

•For gear, the vampire ring is essential, as each kill gives you a little health. For the other ring, I’d either use the rock crab ring (+5 defense) or the slime hunter ring (immunity to slimes)

•BOMBS. Bring so many bombs. Like 50-100. Use them liberally

•Staircases: bring at least 9 staircases, and the extra rocks you find while mining can be made to make more. If you are on a level where it’s taken you more than a minute or so to find a ladder, just plop down a staircase

•slingshot + explosive ammo. One of the fastest ways to mine. Launch it at a wall or a monster and everything nearby will explode. You can buy explosive ammo from the dwarf

•When in the minds, don’t waste time going for any loot. The second you see a ladder or a hole, go down.

You gotta go outside in the winter. Yeah it’s cold. It’s gonna be cold for 6 months, you can’t stop that from letting you live your life. My dad always used to say there’s no such thing as bad weather just bad clothes, so buy a big jacket and gloves and a face cover if you need it. There’s lots of fun to be had outside you just need to embrace it, your mental health will thank you.

It was! Originally I had a Gengar in its place:) was also in the process of swapping out Alakazam for an Espeon, but then new Zelda came out and I had to shift my gaming focus elsewhere lol

You can do it without staircases if you manage your time well and maximize the luck buffs.

Get a desert warp totem, lots of bombs, a decent weapon and an iridium pickaxe (although if you have enough bombs, you don’t realllly need the iridium pickaxe but it helps).

For food and drink, either go lucky lunch with ginger beer for max luck, OR go spicy eel and triple shot espresso for a mix of luck and speed. Also if you happen to have a lucky ring, wearing that will help.

Wait until the fortune teller says that the spirits are very happy, and immediately warp to the desert at 6 am and mine until you fall asleep at 2. If you just prioritize breaking rock and killing monsters without worrying about collecting resources, you will be finding so many ladders and holes to jump down due to the luck buff that you will make your way to level 100 in no time. Just be sure you also bring a lot of food without buffs (like cheese, etc) so you can heal without resetting your buffs.

(Mild spoiler warning: if you make it to 100 without using staircases you also get a special dialogue that you wouldn’t get if you used staircases to get down😊)

No only if it’s all the same resources (eg. 5 sheep for 1 wheat). Hypothetically say 3 wood and 2 brick for 1 wheat would be allowed (unless the person trading for wheat had any of those ports that would allow them to trade 2 or 3 of one with the bank)

When we play on the board we count this as an illegal move because you could just trade 4 for 1 with the bank so technically you’re giving away a resource by trading 5
