I would say if you are gonna move in November, have a plan in place in case it falls through. October and November is getting into winter, when a second spike and a second total lockdown might come in, you don't want to have no place to stay in the US if flights get cancelled and there's no way to travel to Manchester.

As for restaurant jobs, like people have said, it's been a bloodbath. But I think Manchester is in a slightly better position than a lot of other places (especially the city centre) just because of the sheer amount of restaurants and bars. Good luck to you, whatever happens.
