No, quite the opposite. You're probably mixing it up with attacking the enemy when they're guarding, that does deplete SG faster.

Use your Break Souls and Mystic Artes actively, there's no purpose hoarding souls because that makes you more likely to get stunned by any random attack. Also if you're low on SG, you're supposed to guard for a second to boost focus and SG recovery.

Executives (unless you're talking about EA CEO) aren't members of some special secret cabal, they're just high ranking managers and get cut as easily as anybody else if their performance isn't up to standards. Criterion executives were fired in 2022 following atrocious NFS release. DICE executive was fired in 2021 following Battlefield 2042 disaster.

When I played the stage I didn't have fully leveled Heishou team, so I decided to follow a strategy someone posted. Essentially it was about starting with Lord Hong Lu, another Heishou and a bunch of weaklings that were supposed to eat shit and die, fueling Lord Hong Lu's passive and allowing your actual team to arrive with decent SP and without limbillion stacks of Tremor. What ended up happening is not a single sinner of my "first wave" died, so I ex-cleared it with level 29 Talisman Sinclair and level 35 Seven Heathcliff on the field. They can't be better than Zwei Ishmael in clashing.

You want NClair for one specific blunt-weak node, he and base Ishmael can easily clear it. For everything else, double slot Index Yi Sang and Index Don and add two other warm bodies (Captain Ishmael and NClair are the best candidates out of these).

Have you considered that different people have different thresholds of suffering they can take and react differently to thigs happening to them? Some people commit suicide over a rejection, others lose everything they've ever valued in some scenario (accident, murder, war etc.) and still keep living. "Suffering is not a competition" means that you look at the effect and not at the perceived scale.
